Simple Fairy Tail Logic: Meets the opponents at unprecedented time and is scared the shit out of them since they can shrink islands into minature household ornaments. Does not want anything to do with them at all costs. (Dessert Man and Brandish)
Meets the opponent NAKED and asks you to join in the tub for some fanservice. Acts all strong and can actually go in a fight with them. What?
If they could take the challenge, why don't they do it the first time and meet again for the final battle. (Erza v Dessert Man) and (Fan Service Girl v Brandish). . . I don't get it.
Back to the chapter, Natsu has actually grown as a man with the self control Happy was talking about. Mira has Saylah's soul? or body? or both? idk. . . but she is fire. Out of the demon gates, Kyoka and Seilah were the coolest.
Yeah they need to explain where this new maturity came from
It does not align with anything we have seen before
Unless natsu has never taken anything seriously until the climatic boss battle of each chapter:arc/has never run out of power in a real battle situation, Wendy exhaustion has never been an issue for him and Ezra
I thought that was a slayer thing, but Wendy and gajeel seem to deal with exuaston after great expenditure similar to gray even though Wendy has her natural element around her to refuel at anytime
Tbh I have somewhat of a problem with that Natsu has matured line, it shows that we need Happy to point it ou for us, while the narrative doesn´t do it by itself in subtle way like decisionmaking or behaviour.
For example when he pointed out that he had a plan, which he immediately ditched, that was an instance where Hiro could have builded upon Natsu´s character.
Overall the joke is decent, but it requires some suspension of disbelief.
Natsu mostly charges in recklesly "after" he´s angered planning was always part of his fightning style at least reactive.
Personally I dont buy the "development" when we?ll see him charge in traditionally because someone makes him mad.
