Im losing hype for this arc.
This. I had high expectations for this arc as well.
Brandish's introduction was one of the greatest scenes I've seen in a long time, now it's slowly downgrading. I feel as if they're progressing so quick, because I mean Hiro could've made a whole arc about saving Makarov. But NOPE! Lets skip to the war.
Brandish is pretty much carrying the series for me. I hope her motives are clearly justified and logical, as she's the most interesting character in the entire arc thus far. She's unpredictable.
This guy knows what's up. I mean, Brandish could easily shrink Magnolia into an ornament for Zeref and Alvarez. Why can't she do it? Is it because she is lazy? Or she has other motives e.g: Mest, being a fairy tail spy within the Magic Council kind of thing?
Alot hints towards her being the Spy, however this is another reason why Fairy Tail is badly written. Overall the setting and the characters are ok for a Shounen series, the fanservice is often passable but other times annoying.
But if she does turn out to be the spy it raises several questions.
1. The biggest mage in History that´s somewhat advertised as a smart guy is incapeable of noticing a Spy within the 12 greatest generals of his empire?
2. Let´s assume Zeref deson´t have any form of magic that´d assist him in that matter, altrhough he´s proven to be the most powerful/knowledgeable entity in this series we know of yet.
3. If he knows what´s his motive for not caring? Does Hiro intend to throw the he´s too arrogant card here?
4. If he didn´t notice how come no one else within the whole empire ever got suspicious of her when she´s one of the godamn generals of this country.
Is there no bad blood between her and her peers, does no one even try to guilty others for the sake of political power?
