Furthermore don´t dissmiss that Lucy has the strongest magic of all plot magic.

Whenever the plot demands it she gets a powerup, even if temporarily.



That's not true at all Lucy has had 1 Mabry 2 power up 1 the instant learn of urano metric and the star dress



Anyway I am hoping for some exposition next chapter, nothing foreshadowed this moment, brandish did not not looks at her specifically or anything

I agree. It's kind of disgusting how Mashima is only using Lucy to spike up Natsu. I really wished Lucy gets a character development... and a good one too. She's been growing in Fairytail, reason why she used to be my favorite, but now it's just -__- eh. Up until this chapter, Lucy is really getting on my nerves. She tries to fight when she doesn't have to... she's constantly crying and needing to be saved... sigh. Where was the time where she showed so much resolve?? Wendy is starting to be my favorite now. Her speech to Erza in the bath <3. So cute.

If Mashima uses Lucy as a bait for Natsu then its not bad in this situation, because Zeref needs Natsu and promised him he will give him despair. How? By attacking his friends and who is he the closest too? Lucy and Happy, yes he cares fot the others too but he spends most of his time with those 2.

Lucy is not a fighter physically, she is pretty much 'forced' to fight, and she tries her best in every fight. Guess (talking about her abillities) her magic doesn't help because some people don't like it. I think her magic is unique and that's why Brandish is interested in her. Remember she brings in the human world a living creature.

I'm guessing Brandish would be a spy under the Spriggan 12, could be working for someone or someone's apprentice/ student , maybe Gildarts since he has almost the same power as her (particles?mass?) and wanting to work together with Lucy by telling the others weakness and their battle strategy
