Subtle foreshadowing is a lost art these days. Unless it's hamfisted with giant planet sized neon signs it doesn't exist apparently.



One thing that will say to people, yes the Empire was not mentioned before, BUT (as you posted that image above), we know for a fact that there are other continents, outside Ishgar (and Ishgar is basically Fiore and the rest of the named countries on the map).

Lol this won't end well. Respect Makarov but the odds of Arbaless simply abiding to his request is unlikely.



730 guilds? That's more than Ishgar+Fiore. I doubt they stopped solely because of the council. Makarov walked right into a situation he can't win. Arbaless will eat Fiore

This is a bad thing? It all boils down to execution, they won during the Tartarus arc too, but it had reporcussions and took a while to go down. Also no stupid speeches and Natsu not being the one to beat the final boss.



If Mashima wants he can make this a really good arc, let´s be neutral and open minded.

It can go both ways to be honest and till confirmed  it´s neither good or bad yet.

Tartaros was definitely an improvement, but like you said, there's no guarantee as to how it will unfold.

OH, and Tartaros had what is quite possibly the biggest ass-pull in the entire series with an internal speech on friendship manifesting as power. Erza vs. Kyouka. . . . . . . . . That was awful. But that's not exactly relevant to this post, I just can't help but rage at it.

Mentioning the Empire beforehand would of ruined the whole Mest thing anyway, which i really enjoyed.

Maybe there are more powerful things than zeref or acnologia.

No one is more powerful than Zeref and Acnologia rules the world I'm F rogues timeline so that proves nothing is more powerful than them except maybe a full powered END or Natsu. Zeref and Acnologia aren't in the next arc most likely and for once maybe it won't be all about a Zeref fan girl group



Zeref was cursed by something else pretty easily. How is he the most powerful? We can never know until it is revealed. Stories evolve in time. It is the same in other shows.

Then why is there God slayer magic? Dude if you can fight dragons who are more powerful than gods because they can only be hurt by dragon slayer magic or other dragons and you can fight demons who are supposed to be the exact opposite as gods, but just as maybe even more powerful then you can fight gods. Actually it only makes since that after Acnologia and Zeref's the real Final boss will be a god or who knows it could just be a badass immortal all powerful black wizard like Zeref's but more powerful, the only reason we think he is a god is because those people said but we haven't actually seen him so we have no proof he is a god. Again it makes since for the person who cursed Zeref to be final boss cuz if that person was not final boss then what happened to Zeref's would just happen over and over again, plus you destroy the source of the problem not just the problem or else it will keep happening. As a wise man once said you pull plants out by their roots not the stems.
