No one is more powerful than Zeref and Acnologia rules the world I'm F rogues timeline so that proves nothing is more powerful than them except maybe a full powered END or Natsu. Zeref and Acnologia aren't in the next arc most likely and for once maybe it won't be all about a Zeref fan girl group
Zeref was cursed by something else pretty easily. How is he the most powerful? We can never know until it is revealed. Stories evolve in time. It is the same in other shows.

Didn't you drop it? xD There were mentions of other continents beside Isghar (continent where Fiore is located). But it does feel like the Dark Continent reveal from HxH lol

Not really. Zeref is immortal and was CURSED by a god of life and death apparently. Acnologia is the Dragon king and Dragons were top of the foodchain before the draconic civil war

So avatar arc was just into filler, before this big arc. I am just concerted because the anime moves so fast, they literal cut the episode to a true 14 minutes to slow its progression
Nah it's not that I mean think about it if the anime every got ahead they could just make a non canon filler arc and stretch the non arc episodes so there probably just doing that to piss us off

This makes me wonder, if Mest/Doranbolt was this much close to Makarov, then why wasn't he chosen as the Seventh Guildmaster? He looks quite suitable for this job seeing his dedication over his investigation and helping the guild behind the scenes.
The guildmaster is essentially the face of the guild. Not too appropriate for someone working behind the scenes.

Dude exactly my thoughts as well. So glad we got this development and the people that thought Tartarus Arc was the peak can finally just move on.
Totally agree, this Arc has the promise to top even Tartarus. Going to enjoy this.
