Fairy Tail Chapter 439 Discussion

Maybe it's the weekly basis that gets in the way. Maybe it's the rules of "for young kids only" that limits the author. Can't say I aggree with you completely though. Most of the world building is done through the art alone-in various manga- and for me that's what distingoushes it from GoT or LotR. And through that perspective I'm a-okay. A problem that I would personally suggest, is what I'd call final fantasy syndrome. Dunno if you noticed but no matter how much a manga classifies itself as fantasy in the end it ends up having some sort of random sci-fi/cyberpunk elements that authors don't really take their time to incorporate appropriately. This was especially evident to me in FT when Zeref's past was introduced. That felt like a proper magical setting, way too different from the current world of FT.

Dat set up tho....country sized guild...holy crap, this is going to be so awesome. So I would assume as powerful as Fairy Tail is, they're still going to need help from other guilds. Good lord, what the hell could this guild master of a country sized guild be like...



So, think Raven Tail has a shot at appearing in this arc considering how Lumen Histoire plays a heavy part in this arc will be or maybe Mashima just forgot they existed.

If by some twist of fate FT ends up joining up forces with Zeref (through Natsu being his bro) and Acnologia (maybe Gajeel is a relative or something) then I don't care how many guilds the other continent has cos they're going down.

No Acnologia is pure evil and he deserves to die after killing igneel and don't say all the dragons die cuz the rest like igneel did didn't die more like passed on or something idk how to explain it but yeah I think the final boss will be the guy that cursed Zeref mostly cuz I'm pretty sure Natsu won't be able to kill him after learning Zered's last name

This all can be tracked down to the influences of the authors, Hiro Mashima for example is a big gamer. He enjoys the Monster Hunter series and has written in an article that he couldn´t decide wether he would buy a PS3 or an Xbox 360 so he ended up buying both.



Kishimoto is a dedicated Dragon quest player, because of Akira Toriyamas drawings. I don´t know about other Mangaka.

But Final Fantasy has probably influenced most Shounen Mangaka in their world building to an extent, furthermore, it´s the creative freedom of the media that allows for putting in unexplained tools and items that seem nonsensical. Like shooting weapons and swords during the same time period, while they have mobile phones or cars.

AWESOME. That's how Fairy Tail should be. I've never seen Makarov that scared. Makes me wonder though, if Zeref and Acnologia will fight in the upcoming war, and if they will take sides. From what I know Zeref and Mavis were friends, and he may try to save her. Damn, can't wait till the next chapter.

Makarov just got a lot of new respect, and the new kingdom set-up seems interesting.

Natsu alone can beat 80% of Alverez XD

The only real threat will the top 1%.

One of the Gods will definitely side with fairy tail, so the size difference will be trimmed down.

Here is a prediction of who the main bad guy is of this arc, when Mavis choose Percht has her successor over Yuyr , that left someone very bitter and over that bitterness, and that person left Fairy Tail went far away and vow vengeance, and that person is Yuyr Dryer's oldest son. Yuyr was cool with Mavis choose, he respected Percht like a mentor, but his oldest son was very angry, thought his father has been insulted and betrayed. So yeah the big bad is Makarov's older brother, who is probably the one that poisoned  Iwan's mind and told him about Lumia Historia, we thought it was Percht, but it was Makarov bitter older brother.



There was never a mention of any brother to Makarov >_>
