Well, he didn't actually earn the power - it was kinda just given to him? At least that's how it the sideplot (which was all kinds of meh) resolved.  So hopefully he doesn't keep that power like Lucy's power up was temporary too.



Frankly the sooner this arc is over with the better. It's dragging on MUCH too long.

Except this arc was not for Gray. Yeah he had a part of it but this arc was for Tartaros, Zeref and the Dragons. Gray's part is infinitely small compared to those.

Lumen Histoire is a pretty big deal so Makarov will likely go through with it.



Natsu is going to turn into END. Or should I say he's going to come close to returning to his original State as END before the Natsu side overpowers it somehow. Igneel will still likely die though.

Exactly. My only hope now is that this undeserved buff is only temporary like say Fairy Glitter was for Cana.

But didn't he won Devil Slayer Magic? So he's jut supposed to be this strong against devils, isn't it?



He didn't. His dad wanted to die and fought to lose and just handed it to him. But yes you have a point. just strong against devils. Once he gets some time to train with it . PRoviding it's permanent which it shouldn't be

I really like the idea that Natsu could be END though. I hope he gets a badass demon form.

Gray been a fav since day one, always good when my boy gets to shine. Seeing that little part where they showed the erza kyouka fight again had me like please no, that fight ended terribly but you know how it is, it's because she's Erza!! I still love me some erza but now is time for Gray vs THE Marde Geer

Gray is that odd kind of character whose role fluctuates wildly. To be fair though, his progression was handled better than that of Erza and his power-up at least makes sense, even if you dislike HOW it happened.



For Marde Geer and devil slayer magic Darklight did mention a very reasonable point that it would be out of character for Marde Geer not to have some kind of safeguard to counter Silver. I would say that Keith was the first level of defense against a rogue Silver because all Marde would have to do is either kill Keith or just have the necromancy curse on Silver be canceled. Another possibility is that if devil slayer magic counts as magic rather than a curse then Face would have stripped Silver of his power anyways, making him a helpless. In fact, Hiro could make Gray's power temporary by using Face to remove the magic mark on his arm once Face activates. Finally, Marde Geer could have just been so insanely powerful that Silver was never really a threat anyways, making Gray useful only as a stalling tactic while Natsu steals E.N.D.s book and takes it to Igneel.



In the end we just have to wait and see how Hiro handles things in the next few chapters.

WHy is everyone obsessed with Natsu becoming END? There is no clue what will happen. My best bet is what Mard said. END is in the book. And now we know why he couldn't release him before, why he needed Face for it. But that doesn't mean Natsu is End.
