As you say is not about power is about type of magic. Gray has Demon slaying magic. I guess that will be the only type of magic that will be able to remove the demon out of Natsu without killing Natsu completely or something.  

Mashima has a thing about finishing arcs in this cliche everything turn out ok like that ways. I bet everyone in Fairy Tail will just help Gray by keeping Natsu/END possessed busy to give Gray some clear shot or something so he kill END inside of  him.

Also yes i do think that Marde could let Silver hang around even if his magic is dangerous because his arrogant and he was certain he had the guy under full control since he was a zombie living based on the magic of one of his guilds demons.



Again he's arrogant, not stupid.  Silver's reputation as a demon killer was also known so there's no way Marde didn't figure out what he was doing. He'd still have counter measures just like he's had so far for everything leading up to Acnologia crashing the party. No there's no chance that Silver's magic will harm END.

Ooooh now there's an option too! But if that were to happen I would hope Igneel doesn't die. It would be nice to have him interact with Fairy Tail while his stupid son is figuring out how to beat END for possession of his body





I doubt he will survive simply because he knows too much.



Either Acknologia will defeat him or END will end/imprison/whatever both of them(which would be especially ironic if Natsu is manipulated into opening the book to help Igneel)



Adding to that, take a good look at Natsu's current outfit and symbolism in it. Skulls have appeared in multiple cover page clothing of Natsu(don't remember which one but one of covers for first few volumes/chapters literally has END written below the skull), but this is really the first time we see him wear something like that IN story.

Gray will most likely get the "tragic bro fight" where he tries to reason with Natsu and gets beaten to hype up END.I am thinking the same thing, Lucy will play a big role here, she was real serious in the last two chapters. Hoping for some NaLu stuff to commence.

The theory of Natsu being END has also increased since Igneel told him explicitly to NOT OPEN the book after retrieving it from Marde
