Finally some development on good ol Gajeel. So he was close to one of the old council members. Didn't see that coming

Well, it was not obvious to me.... Guess I am not into chemistry.

I lived how Gajeel told Levy to use her magic to make air. Gajeel had the same idea that the fandom had last chapter. Loved his small backstory the first time I think I seen him cry also made the old council seem more human and not just Fairy Tail hating, easily tricked or paranoia old people. Great chapter worth the wait.

The backstory wax a bit of an asspull, that came out of nowhere. Meh, at least FT is defeating enemies with a bit more strategy these days other than the usual nakama power.



So Gajeel went from Iron Dragon Slayer > Shadow Iron Dragon Slayer > Shadow Steel Dragon Slayer? Wondering if he'll always be a Steel Dragon Slayer now.



One of the, if not the best arc of FT imo.



Hiro has really stepped up his writing, but I really wish he'd evolve past this formulaic way of defeating his opponents (i.e. FT getting their asses kicked, having a heartfelt moment, then becoming more powerful somehow (which is a lot better now, seeing how this growth in power doesn't stem solely from their feelings and is actually getting some explanation), then kicking the enemy's ass).

I think Gajeel understood living a meaningful life just a little. Heh, that attack was for more than just himself judging by the looks of it.
