Fairy Tail Chapter 397 Discussion

Fight was meh. Typical FT fight from losing to power of feelings to one-shotting enemy.

I enjoy the beginning with Levy. She could have used her magic from the get go. Sub-consciously she wants the kiss lol.

What a chapter. Levy was adorable, and did fix plot holes from last chapter Levy just forgot about her powers in the heat of the moment, but I forgive her. When Gajeel said do it again, the look on her face it was priceless.



Levy is going to revive everyone, so just like Lucy earlier in the arc, Levy is going to be the unsung hero who is going to make it possible for the other members to beat the enemies. I like that.



So the fight continues, Gajeel is having a tough time with Torafusa, when Gajeel and Levy were talking why didn't Torafusa, just let them have a conversation, that is a smart. We get a flashback. In the flashback they recon Berno personality, when she was alive in the council, she was just another bitter stick in the mud council member, granted not as bad as the gesser that was willing to sacrifice his own grand daughter and a pregnent lady to save is own hide, but still where was this side of her all this time, if we saw this side, I might have cared when she died, now showing she had a good side and a dead son, kind of pointless now, but if that allowed Gajeel to get his second wind, so be it.



Gajeel is back in control and has either defeated Torafusa or is about to do. It was a fine chapter, I love the Gajeel / Levy moments.

This arc continues to be amongst the best FT has ever had, if not the best. If it continues like this this might top the Tower arc altogether.



Freaking greatness.



So i guess this pretty much 100% confirms that the way to "strengthen" a  Dragon Slayer powers is for them to consume something close to their element. It happened with magic flames and Natsu before, then with Wendy and now with Gajeel.

Really liked Gajeel's flashback and the overall fight was awesome! 5/5

Eh. Was nothing too mindblowing out of it. Not bad. 4/5.

And he still has yet to go into Dragon Force. Well with his element it'd be kinda hard uniless he found a dragon to provide him with the breath needed to switch it on

Levy knew she could use her solid script to make air, she just wanted to steal that kiss from Gajeel ;)

His dad one shotted Natsu, Gray can use the same ice that can resist fire dragons flames.

At first they looked equal but then you see Natsu this chapter then you see Gajeel gaining a boost iron into steel and he defeated someone Natsu couldn't.

Power of friendship or so...

Not really fan of Gajeel crying honestly.
