Fairy Tail Chapter 340 Discussion

First of all, can someone tell me why there were three chapters this week??

Regarding the chapter, OH EM GEE. I know a lot of people were amazed by the showdown but I'm pretty sure my Mavis X Zeref crack pairing feels were exploding. I'm so confused what Mashima meant at the end, too!! Is fairy tail ending? Because most shounen mangas have a solid ending to be expected (i.e. Naruto vs Sasuke fight, finding One Piece) but I feel like fairy tail didn't really have an expected ending until Zeref came. Right before the timeskip, I felt like Fairy Tail (and Crime Soceire [sorry spelling lol]had a definite goal and it was to defeat Zeref. With the foreshadowing in this chapter, one can only assume Fairy Tail will end soon. T^T

Zeref returns, cant believe how he was just casually in that forest LOL. Zeref/ Mavis there, epic :D

So he's determined on wiping out the world now...and Mavis is adamant FT will stop him. Curious to know how Zeref/ Mavis know one another, be awhile till those flashbacks I guess. It will probably all fit in with Lumen Histore and the Dragons, well I think~



Also that little creature is with Zeref now? I'm guessing RT were not aware he's connected to him though. And assuming Tartaros are going to be making a move, I guess they'll be working under Zeref possibly?



Next 3 chapters will probably clue us in a little bit more hopefully. Also wondering about the current dragons, hopefully we get glimpse of them next week~

Mashima is liek Kubo, forgetting about 90% of plot points. I assumed most people have accepted that already.

If its such shit then stop reading it...



Personally I think he's been thinking the past 400 years just for peace and wanting death. Since the island incident where he was hiding, he realized that the cycle was never going to end and since that was the case he would make it end. There's also a good chance that he's going to pull everyone into a bloody conflict in hopes that someone can kill him. That smile on the last page makes me think he's hoping FT can stop him or something. Something like Code Gease...



On top of that, I really got the sense from this chapter that Mavis and Zervf had been lovers or at least had loved each other in some sort of fashion. If their siblings, that words too.



Lastly, will people stop freaking out about FT ending. Hiro seems like he's just in love with this world he's made as we are and he always says he still has tons of ideas for FT. He said final battle was drawing near but in perspective of Zervf and Mavis that could be years if not another decade. They don't see time like normal because of how old they are.
