Fairy Tail Chapter 328 Discussion

  • #74
Fairy tail has been REALLY going downhill for me...

To me it was totally obvious the dragons were gonna come out of the door... like right when they brought it up, everyone kept saying the dragons were gonna come, but nobody knew from where... where else could it have been but the door? -_-

also the whole thing with the cannon is a load of crap, maybe i missed it but i found no explanation as to why they knew there was a cannon behind the door... there just was. and again, maybe i missed it, but there was also no explanation to how they knew how to use the damn thing. HOW did they know it needed to be charged? Where did they get all this information? all seems very contrived to me.

this whole arc has honestly been pretty crappy in my opinion, this whole series even. it seems like whenever theres a plot hole, mashima just covers it up by saying "someone from the future told them" or "they just happened to have the specific kind of magic right for the job" or "eh, who the fuck cares, just plaster fanservice everywhere and then nobody will notice" -_-

Well that escalated quickly...Great chapter but really, closing the gate was so easy, too easy I think. Now the "good dragons" should return and do something about this, oh right, first our Natsu the awesome needs his time to shine...or something? :> Still this chapter was so short for me, I need moar, now!

Great chapter.

So the real reason he came to the past was because there were just too many dragons for him to manipulate; he wanted less.

C'mon Natsu.

That man is Crazy. He even kill his bestfriend sting in the future. Hate him.

I don't know the details very well, but I thought they had quite a few lengthy discussions about the Eclipse project. Wasn't the initial purpose of it to make a tool that can control time so that they can defeat Zeref before he became immortal, as that captain said? But I think somewhere in the Grand Magic Games "future Rogue" came and psyched the princess into thinking there's 10000 dragons coming and there's a cannon behind it to defeat them.

Point is, I don't think there's any plot hole here. However, I do think anything to do with time travel in fiction without a clearly defined set of rules and detailed explanation(limitations, parallel world lines, etc) is treading dangerous ground, in the sense that you either have to make that the central focus of the entire story(like Stein's gate, Noein etc), or you should just avoid using it altogether. Or else it's just plain dumb.

Why do people keep including Cobra?

Cause he's a dragonslayer. And there is a chance that the favor Jellal wants to ask involves bringing Cobra there to help fight the Dragons

Really? At THIS pont all of a sudden a long forgotten villain will make an appearance and be a good guy? I get the whole 7 dragons-7DS thing but if such a thing were to be pulled off it would be incredibly stupiid.

He sorta turned good during the Zentopia incident since he learned about Kinana's Curse being lifted.

Dat cover page!! Lucy is HAWT :D

The chapter was pretty okay. Like Kimmy said...7 dragons...oh the irony XDXDXD Man Mashima must love that number XD

How the hell can Rogue control dragons? That's too OP.

And was he seriously thinking that he would be able to control 10 thousand of them?!?!?! I call BS!

Well time from some Natsu ass kicking payback time :D

That to me suggests there is a third faction behind this. Think. If humans had magic that could control dragons, then they would have never been prey in the past. THis power was given by someone or something else.

....."Lord Zeref" is the answer to any question

No. If zeref could control dragons then he would have controled Acnologia not be scared shitless of him.

I read from a post in a Chinese forum that the parallel world line that future Rogue and future Lucy came from may be the "大魔法世界"(Great Magic World), that Hades was after.

That would explain why future Rogue is able to use Dragon controlling magic. Thoughts?

I thought of it but ,the one magic part will make this kinda understandable. I mean both just said their from the future, Lucy she's not from that world.( current one she died).Rouge we just know " a future"

Hm, we know that even if future Lucy and future Rogue are from the same world, they must be from different times since future Lucy seems to have came back immediately after escaping the prison.

The one part I can't get over is how she simply died from one sword thrust when all the main characters can take so many devastating blows and not die. Guess this is the power of plot armor.
