/facepalm You are right, I have completely forgotten about both Rave and that OVA. And I'm going to join you in your assumptions because they look very plausible. However, they might another reason for Zeref behavior - we still don't know why Natsu and Gajeel couldn't pass Freed's rune barrier back in Laxus arc. :>

As much as I would like that to happen and as much as I really dislike Minerva. I think it will be too late even if they realize/come to an agreement after resolving their problems to work together against Minerva since most likely they would have worn themselves out after some real fierce fighting and Minerva probably will come back and take both a severely weakened Erza and Kagura out. I'll stick with my predictions for the moment. What I'm think is that Erza will lose while protecting Millianna or Kagura or both. Like when Mirajane protected Lisanna against Azuma's bomb on Tenroujima. Kagura finally forgives Erza, goes for a desperate final attack to strike down Minerva only to be taken out herself.



Well in the unlikelihood that this actually happens, I'll just stick to a simple outcome that Minerva will win.

I  am going to continue with my predictions and put them here so I can refer to them later for my own benefit:

Minerva vs Erza vs Kagura (and Millianna); Victor is Minerva.

Laxus vs Orga; should be a straightforward match with victory for Laxus.

Gajeel vs Rogue; an interesting match with the Victor to be Gajeel.

Juvia vs Shelia will be joined with Gray vs Lyon: Victor is Sting who takes the remaining people from this fight out.



This would leave FT with 53 points and ST with 58 approximately, this point total assumes something like Juvia and Gray work together to beat either Shelia or Lyon, or that Erza loses to Kagura or something.



Then the next fight is Laxus vs Jura; a good fight and difficult but Laxus is the victor although probably exhausted at this time.



Then the final fight is Sting and Minerva vs Gajeel and Laxus with the score tied somehow.

Laxus as the leader of the FT will lose by taking damage for Gajeel or something and propel Gajeel to victory thus Minerva and Sting will lose and Gajeel is the last one left standing. And FT beats ST by one point. Thus fulfilling what Gajeel said to Sting in the Chariot race on Day 2 of the games, "Don't go crying about that 1 point later, you Baldie."

@Theusis3 interesting prediction, I like the fact you put Gajeel's smirk in day 2 in it and planned it all out. I also thought of it that way, but it seems highly improbable.



I predict an Erza speech about Kagura being blinded by hate and then Erza either winning or doing something to persuade Kagura to take Minerva alltogether, because from what we've seen the biggest ass-pull in history would be Erza/Kagura winning against both counterparts.



Everyone predicts a easy win for Laxus against Orga...Well, the only disadvantage to Laxus is he can't eat black lightning, while Orga can eat Laxus thunder...But that's Laxus we're talking about, so there's no way that won't be a roflstomp XD



Gajeel vs Rogue --> Gajeel

Shelia vs. Juvia ---> standstill until Gray catches his breath, but I'm pretty sure they'll both be out of the count, but I don't see how Gray vs. Leon would be fixed because Leon should win that, fixing his magic making (now with both hands), so I'm gonna say something like either 2 of them joining and holding someone of, or Gray coming to rescue Erza in a dramatic chain of events that will unfold.

I kinda see the 'most impossible' outcome being FT win without losing a single member, no matter how improbable that might be.



Things are gonna get pretty flashy now, I'm excited.

It was good, i think but the next one will be so much better :D an the upcoming battles too.

I was disappointed to see Kagura lose her cool. It seems she probably knows something about Erza and Jellal.

Good chapter. Laxus vs Orga. Gajeel vs Rogue. Cannot wait for next week Erza vs Kagura.

Yeah,finally Gajeel x Rogue!Hope we can finally learn about Rogue's reasons.Laxus x Orga is exciting too,but I wonder if Orga will be that much of a challenge.



Anyway,considering the princess and that old guy reactions it seems that the outcome predicted by Future Lucy is 'impossible' when looking at the current results.There's a lot of possibilities,and since FT is on top right now,I suppose they losing would make sense,but who knows.I'm pretty sure it has to do with Sting's plan.'They can all do as they please' huh?So no matter what happens with the others,his strategy will still work?

Yes I can confirm that this is true, others than this are probably just make up and rumors to worry those sensitive fans, like Erza/Natsu/Jellal/Makarov/Gildartz die etc etc.



For the "Farewell Jellal" part, keep in mind that this note is released before Jellal leaving FT team B, and thus it could be a mistranslation that sound like he's going die here. And of course, keep in mind that Mashima can change and go a completely different route, like Laxus vs Jura used to happen on day 1, and the result is draw

Still, since Kagura was presented and the council is there I think that only means that Jellal is going back to prison. I find odd that Meldy and Ultear will fight in the tournament without their identities revealed (and for what reason?), so if Jellal doesnt die by Kagura´s hands, he is probably back to prison caught by the council...or runs away. I reallyyyyyyyy  dont want him to die but then...look what Mashima did at his "clone" in Rave.

Also according to the fandom (dunno if its true) it seems that Mashima also published a quote like "I feel sorry for the fans of....". Which means, although he didnt name the character, it is most likely  
Jellal.

I will make it clear a little bit:


Jellal won't go back into jail, it would be pointless to spend time developing him a lot in this arc only to return into jail. And I'm pretty sure that Jellal will have his Big Damn Hero moment in this arc and that's a perfect chance to erase the bad record beyond the eyes of thousands people in the GMG.



For the dying part, Mashima also said that Makarov was going to die in the TI arc, saying sorry to his fans also like that, yet it didn't happen. Why would Mashima reveal such a big info right in the begin of the arc?! Because Jellal dying would defnitely a big hit to the FT fandom, so I wouldn't be surprsied if he was trolling, or again just a mistranslation.



Then we have Kagura, there are no reasons to create her in the first place if Jellal is going to die anyway, that's the point of the conflicts. Kagura lacks plot purpose and the only thing that keeps her relevant is her mysterious relationship with Jellal. So again, the chance he dies is quite small I believe.
