PARALLELISM!

Seriously, as long as Fairy Tail doesn't end like THAT^, then there shouldn't be a problem with the end of the series drawing near!

That was the studio messing up with the original. Sometimes it works, but most times it fks things up. The manga is still ongoing.

BUT, it would taste a lie to say that FT might not end like that. Still, after so many chaps it grew in me and I have no problem. We know that Hiro's emphasis is on friendship, I know what to expect and it's okay

True, there still a lot of what fairy tail needs, to cover/ can cover. including the whole dragons thing.

Yeah sorry if I came off as overly negative, I was just really disappointed with the developments this chapter but still like the manga overall.

In relation to the first point about Lecter, unless I missed something really? Mind telling me where we told of that earlier? This is an honest question but reading it as I'm typing I know can come off differently X D

No no you missed what I was refering as a factor.

First things first :DX simply put is something that comes out of nowhere only to serve the hero(or generally some character, but mostly the hero) so as to get him out of some kind of seemingly desperate and impossible situation. A glorious example of DX is Hades' heart. Another DX would be in Black Lagoon that abandoned ship in the first chapters that allowed the party to make the jump(I'm refering to that cuz if I'm not mistaken your avatar is Rock, right?)

What I was refering as a factor was Minerva's abilities. We have seen her being able to warp stuff. So basically she simply used her powers to manipulate Sting into  doing her bidding (w/e that is for the momment). So it's not a DX, it's simply part of Minerva's character (and in a world full of magic I consider it highly realistic for mages to use their powers beyond battles in order to fulfill their purposes). Hence my reply.

PS: I don't consider it hating when people use their heads to come up with decent arguements.

^ I agree with this. It's very open-ended, hell we've only seen the country/continent/etc of Fiore. Though I really doubt, and really hope, that it doesn't become like that. I'd like to see it cleanly wrapped up in 200 chapters or so.

I've also thought the same about Zeref. He just seems, really layered. You don't know what to expect. The only problem, is that without Zeref who could possibly be the main antagonist? Acnologia? I think there may be a strong connection between Mavis, Zeref and Lumen Histoire as well.

@Darklight

Then again it can simply be explained as Godslayers being the next level of Dragonslayers that Zeref or Acno came up with in order to exterminate the allies of the dragons. I don't consider a new fraction necessary or a literar interpretation of the word "godlsayers". It is easy to lose the grip with so many groups and characters and Hiro might not want to step in there.

If that was the case, then the anti human dragons would not have been losing. DS's were clearly the ones who turned the war around for the coexistance and the anti humans were losing until DS backfired creating Acnologia.

And look at Acnologia dude. It doesn't need any perfect counter to dragon slaying. Tenrou proved that. If it was in magnolia and not on Tenrou with Mavis then all the gang would be dead. There is 0 doubt of that.

777 chapters. Just wait and see.

No way. I don't see more than another 200-250 chapters max. Hiro has plans to write a romance manga after FT, so i doubt he would spend another 5 or so years on FT. Not to mention, I'm not sure how it's even possible. All signs point to the fact that we're at least getting close to the end, I mean if the dragons as well as Zeref show up at the end of this arc, then where can the series go from there?

where did you get that from?

well, I do agree with everything you said in your discussions so far, but it's kinda (in my eyes) considered fact that this arc is 'dragging', or if you don't find that word fitting: taking way longer than any other, so it is a possibility that this is an indication of a greater change/end in the series.
