Fairy Tail Chapter 307 Discussion

  • #114
Well if Godslaying magic didn't come from Zeref, then I could also see some random powerful wizard in the past creating the magic as a way to show his superiority over the dragons, etc. The name godslaying may just have been a way of showing it's greater than ds magic.

On a sidenote, if there are gods, then can a godslayer become one by using gs magic too much? That was my first reason for thinking Zeref was a gs, because he could have became a god from it.

Anyone have a link to that? I googled and even translated his twitter page, but all I can find is people talking about it, not the actual thing. :/

Minerva is quite ruthless, isn't she? XD Mildly surprised to find that Lecter is still alive, it goes to show you can never predict what's going to happen in Fairy Tail. Well, I can't anyway. That is to say, if he genuinely is alive, for all we know it could be a lie on Minerva's part.

I was quite excited by the ending, I'm looking forward to seeing the Hungry Wolves in action.

I like to see more of the Princess though, I want to know what she's thinking. Oh well, we'll find out eventually I'm sure. ^.^

She is not ruthless, she is devious. A devious bitch.

Indeed, the only thing that's usually predictable in FT are the end results of battles.

I think Lector is dead. Why would such a ass save a cat, while acting in such a manner towards her father. (If he actually is her father. I'm not 100% on that one)

Agreed. She's lying and the moment the truth comes out Sting will probably kill her lol

It would be funny is his reaction and attack/method of attacking, were the same as against Genma.

Just read MS version.

I guess it confirms that Minerva actually is Genma's daughter

Minerva: "This apple may have fallen far from the tree, but I do agree with his stance that Sabertooth be viewed as the best guild"

The original saying is "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree"

That basically means that the child is like their parent.

But, Minerva is saying that she is not like her father at all, but still agrees with him on that one viewpoint.

Minvera's spawning bullshit. Another dimension? screw that.

That actually is her magic, Teleporting things between dimensions. Like how she caught happy and Lucy with it.

Its basically similar to Erza's pocket dimension.

But, if you are referring to her actually having done it to save the cat? The yes, screw that. She had a Psycho Face on when Genma attacked it.

so it is a possibility that this is an indication of a greater change/end in the series.

Change? Yes.

End? No.

Fairy Tail is starting right now. Earlier arcs were only the introduction.

Oh my gosh Minerva was so scary back there >.<

I wonder if Minerva is just actually lying to Sting and Lecter's life is not in her hands. When she is defeated and everybody would make her bring back Lecter, she would say that she actually don't have Lecter.

Deus Ex Machina of Lector "saved"(I can see either dead or alive)

It ain't DX simply cuz it was a factor we were aware of from before the incident.

and the introduction of another "unstoppable" group that in the past has been undefeated. Yeah until now >.> There has been Oracion Seis(twice if we're counting the anime), Grimoire, Sabertooth, and now these asshats. C'mon Hiro, you can be more creative can't you?

Well, most of them have been hyped by themselves, though you are mostly correct, but no reason to assume it's the same with the new ones. These new ones haven't been stated to be "da best", only the strongest executors of the kingdom, so no reason to "anti-hype" yourself like that. Sit back and enjoy ;)

As for the characterization of Sting, I'm just a little irked of how he's a little pissy teen who overestimated his own skills and was stupidly cocky just to get owned and now with the power of"feelings" he's leveled up. Wish he was written better. There are ways to make unlikable characters not irritating.

Which unfortunately is not a quality of FT's villains. Unfortunately the power of feelings is a definitive factor of this manga, but it's a good thing that this time it's not limited to just FT but it expanded to ST as well.

This arc is probably gonna have another structure similar to Tenro Island with Fairy Tail supposedly coming out with everyone intact just in time for the Dragon Festival to rape everyone in the face as we've been foreshadowed.

Most propably, but hopefully this time it will help take the story to the next stage.

Yeah sorry if I came off as overly negative, I was just really disappointed with the developments this chapter but still like the manga overall.

In relation to the first point about Lecter, unless I missed something really? Mind telling me where we told of that earlier? This is an honest question but reading it as I'm typing I know can come off differently X D

@Skia

Not really, my assumption involves the GS alone and doesn't really have to with how many chapters I believe we have left.

@Darklight

No, but i don't believe he is the most awesome either so as to assume that no matter how many groups he decides to include it will turn out ok (especially if he ends up copying himself with the god->dragons speculation). I'm just saying that too many groups sometimes ends up confusing , frustrating for the reader and cheap ways for an author to make a concept seem complicated (unless he decided to dwelve in the actual characters of said groups, something that Hiro didn't really do at a satisfactory level so far)
