Don't you think that the new princess could be the hooded girl? I was sure that the hooded girl could be Lucy, but think about this: she's the princess of Fiore so Gerard may know her... and we don't know what is going to happen in the next chapters but maybe she can became affectionated to natsu and other FTguild members, or maybe if she's going to do something bad to FT guild causing the death of some members, maybe the hooded girl just feels remorse for doing it.
But it remains the fact that we don't know if the princess knows magic and why she may have a magic almost similar to zeref's one.
maybe lucy is still the best option :D

Exactly. My point being HE SHOULDN"T. He should tell her something like:"Times have changed and I know my family and this world better than you". According to that, it strikes to me as annoying that the one who came up with a strategy (without Makarov knowing a single thing) was Mavis. You wanna know what role I think both of them should have in this arc, the ones they had during Laxus' match against "alexei". In other words Makarov taking the initiative while Mavis compliments him on his skills as a Master. Not the other way arround.
I think the Fairy Members can convey that message well enough without him having to say it. Think about it - I highly doubt any member of Fairy Tail would take orders from Mavis without Makarov's consent or at least implied approval. If she told them to do something that went against what Makarov said or what they knew he'd want, none of them would listen to her.
None of them are treating her as if she's their leader - they're at most showing her respect as the first Master. None of their loyalties would shift away from Makarov - he's their 'Old Man' and she's just his senior.
If she tried to tell them to do something against what he thought was best for the guild, I also doubt Makarov would listen or even entertain the idea. He's showing her respect, but he also doesn't put her before the members of the guild that're there.
All this based on how the characters have been presented thus far. I don't see the problem

Up until her appearance Makarov was the wise ol' man with the role of both the father and the teacher. Now? Now he leaves things up to Mavis being the outcast and during the few momments where he takes the initiatve he asks for permission from Mavis, e.g. remember the scene before Jellal vs Jura,:
Mavis: That man is not a guild member is he?
Makarov: I'm sorry I'm sorry.
Mavis: I'll allow it.
Me: FUCK YOU BITCH. Whot the fuck she thinks she is to call the shots? You know I would have no problem if she had the role of Makarov's coucnilor, but the way things are executed Makarov's behaviour when she is arround is way different than what he normally is,as if she is the master and he the disciple

I wouldn't mind seeing Orga vs. Chelia first. Lightning God Slayer vs Sky God Slayer. After he beats her, he can have a go at Laxus.
Though I still wonder why there's not much talk of the fact that Orga, a God-Slayer (possibly), seems to be below Sting and Rouge who're Dragon Slayers.

Ah yea...that would be interesting definitely, Lightning and Sky Godslayer battle~
I expected Orga to be higher up in ST ranks.
In fact, out of the five I'm going to assume twin dragons to be the weakest.
Nothing to do with him being a GS or them being DS ofc though. I don't think it matters whether ones a GS or DS...has nothing to do with there power level imo~
