^That's exactly what I was refering to before. Natsu's original design was meant to be exactly that, with horns and possibly other dragon-like additions (Hiro also said that he was meant to be a spirit or sth and not a human)

I find it interesting that we did NOT learn Acknologia's "human name". Could that be significant in some way? Also the scarf showed up again in those flashbacks. It seems that there are pieces of plot missing for now.



I would not be surprised on if Natsu is somehow connected to this whole story that has been told and was somehow a cause of that massacre("Because of you, I")

Zeref for all we know is someone who is holding back the dragons from reappearing.



Or zeref transforming that person  into acknologia is somehow keeping every other bad dragon sealed. I guess we won't know till Zeref himself explains since for now we have two opposite VERY biased recollections.

Or about a million of dragon fiction fantasy books that came out over the years and detailed some dragons of apocalyptic proportions(Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern, B.Hambly's Winterland books which is all about Dragons, GRR.Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire, etc etc etc).



Dragons being associated with end of era, changing times, apocalypse, gods, etc, etc, etc is VERY common theme of fiction

Not sure, we have absolutely no hints on that one. Does the fact that Zeref knows him must mean that Natsu is of that age? Maybe Zeref became aware of his existance at some point in the most recent past. Maybe Igneel promised Zeref to raise the kid that would be capable of destroying him (a secret alliance between some dragons and Zeref would be pretty cool, in order to stop Acnologia)

And strangely enough 400 years ago Zeref disappeared and Nirvana was constructed. Ez dat simple. Not claiming to be right but highly propable. After all,  we all say that the previous arcs existed to establish the overall plot. I see no better way to include the Nirvit and Nirvana than this.



Which would also mean that if Nirvana were to be used again on Zeref he will awaken once again (do we know what happened to it? I think the council confiscated it)

They are trying to recreate them, by turning humans into dragons.



Or they are good, but still trying to create a human into a dragon for the purpose of killing Acnologia, since they themselves, cannot.
