Wow. Plot started to move again. I love Hiro-sensei's planning - so far everything makes perfect sense (maybe except for Edolas, that arc was confusing in and on itself).

We finally learn the reasoning behind Dragon Slayer magic. I didn't think about it until now, but before this chapter, DS magic idea seemed... strange - why would the last survivors of Dragon race, that was supposed to be extinct all together, teach humans a magic to slay the dragons?! Now we know why, for one and only purpose: to defeat Acnologia.

@Gash

Yeah, that would be one possible explanation why Natsu and Gajeel could not pass Freed's rune barrier (which is yet to be explained).

Finally we know the story about the dragons. Interesting although I think the silly behavior of the dragon killed the mood.

And Mashima really wants to make this mange ecchi.

Hmm , it's been years and I don't remember much but I recall a few things about him.

Maybe you're on to sth but I'd like to know where did you come across these sketches.

Care for a link?

its amongst extra material from one of previous volumes(31st? I don't remember which one exactly), alongside most of character sketches. Most of them were used but the
bandaged Gellal in a a wheelchair never happened. The newer spoilers about Lucy came also came as extra in a previous volume.

And you can clearly see
claw marks on his face in one of those sketches similar to Levy's.

Fairy Tail is an ecchi manga now. That's clear.

So the dragon kept talking about his story with no one asking him. Ok. But some informations about dragons, I was expecting something like this since something like 300 chapters.

The Dragon of Jade looks badass... I wish he had a dragon slayer. :(

Wasn't something mentioned about acknologia not talking to humans because they were below him? He was a human! Also, so if Natsu keeps stronger he'll be a full dragon. Maybe that's the only way to defeat the black dragon, with another dragon slayer turned dragon. This could be why zeref wants natsu to defeat him.

Zeref never even mentioned Lucy. Not that she is unimportant(she obviously has SOME role), but nevertheless Zeref never said that he wants Lucy, he said he wants Natsu(suggestive as hell XD)

The thing is that Zeref and Lucy never met eachother on Tenrou Island. We can't be sure until he sees her.Thats why I belive zeref is lucy half brother, and i think zeref found out from a later our something maybe and now wants his sister lucy (he might belive if there half brother and sister then he might think if he takes his sister powers away from her (thats similer to zeref power)he will not be weak any more.

Pretty sure I just read the plot for Skyrim.

Or world of warcraft.

Or Dragon Age Origins, a game the idea of which Skyrim ripped off.

Or about a million of dragon fiction fantasy books that came out over the years and detailed some dragons of apocalyptic proportions(Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern, B.Hambly's Winterland books which is all about Dragons, GRR.Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire, etc etc etc).

Dragons being associated with end of era, changing times, apocalypse, gods, etc, etc, etc is VERY common theme of fiction

Finally a proper distinction between inspiration and rip-off. 10 years from now when another dragon manga will be making it's debut people will say that it will be copying FT.

Anyway, the fact that the jade Dragon died 400 years ago must mean that the possibility of a Jade DS is fairly low (if not 0). Pity.

The REAL question that will be answered shortly is this:

Why did the Arena have to be on top of the Graveyard? There have been clear indications that building cities through Magic alone is something superficial. Are they drawing magic from the Graveyard somehow? Or are they feeding Magic to it

through the battles(remember Arcadios saying: "sth sth starts to rippen").

So we have a 3 different situations that we don't know how connect with each other:  The Gate, The Arena and The Graveyard.

dont forget about lumen histoire :D i forgotten what happened in the before chapters but i think the arena being built on the graveyard would likely be needed to make the eclipse plan work or something? but hey we dont know shit all about it xD
