I have no idea where Nakamura's going with this but I loved every minute of it!That fight scene gave me CHILLS, especially that smirk!

What I do see is that either "Ren" may finally be unravelling or that Ren is finally able to release "Kuon" without fear of losing control, finally embracing his past. I don't know about you guys but I seriously hope it's the former. *evil smirk* Either way, things are gonna get more interesting for Kyoko. l_~

I can't wait for the next chapter! These seventeen days feel like they're gonna take forever!

i'd like to think that it's going to be both. i want to find out more about ren, but i really want the whole kuon thing to be revealed to kyoko.

looking back at the beginning of the series, it's really amazing how far it's gone. i really can't wait for it to continue! (>w<)/

This is exactly what I think is happening. I don't think Ren is breaking down in any way. I also think if Kyouko wasn't there Ren wouldn't be able to do it. This role is part of his healing process. I don't think it'll be too much longer before he finally accepts who he is again and will be able to move forward as Kuon and not Ren. Next step will be for Kyouko to open up to him.

I've said it before, but this manga ends when Kyouko is able to forget that she entered showbiz for revenge, is a name on par with Ren (with both of them being even more popular than Ren is now), everyone knows Ren is Kuon (and he's more popular than his dad was) and the two of them are a couple. I honestly don't see this happening any time soon though. And of course this is all just my humble opinion. :)

I loved Kuon's smirk and Murasame's reaction to it all. Even though he might have been a beast of a street fighter, Kuon can still kick his ass. This chapter might have seemed really slow to some, but I loved it! XD

Ever since his near accident Ren has really been off, I guess things are going to unravel for Kyoko, I feel he's on the edge of breaking down.

Generally I see eye to eye with most of what you say, but like I said above, I don't see Ren as off at all, nor do I think he is on the edge of breaking down. :)

                        The pace is frustrating.

Fight between Tsuruga and Murasame was interesting. Though I still have no idea where this is going.

Can we please move to some acting and development with actual plot. it's like manga is stuck on how much scary cain heel is or rather some ambiguous hints on ren past, which are not helping at all .. if it keeps going like this, i'm going to put it on-hold for a long time.

Here's my take:

Ren was supposed to be acting as the emotionless Cain Heel, but he smiled, why? Because Murasame had taken an interest in Kyoko, and Ren's love/jealousy/protectiveness of Kyoko acted as a catalyst to start breaking down the Ren/Kuon barrier... actually, maybe it would be more accurate to say "merge"... time will tell.

As for where it's going, this is definitely the lead up to the climax, not right away though, there are still pieces that are not in place. I really respect Nakamura-sensei in that respect; her stories are well thought-out and executed, the outcome feels natural, even satisfying, because she takes the time to set it up. It feels slow, but it'll be worth it, I'm sure of it. Besides, if she went faster, the series would end sooner, and that would suck.  ;)
