I mean I honestly don't see any other options for Thorfinn, swords don't magically counter being heavily outnumbered, they couldn't win even if they decided to fight.

Great chapter yet again.

Thorfinn cannot catch a break no matter what he does..

Very interested in the future of the manga..

I like thorfinn's principle about maintaining peace, but i think he's too naive imo, i hope the war is inevitable so it could bee more realistic

So, Thorfinn decides to leave Vinland to avoid the conflict with the Lnu who are suffering from a disease, the Europeans brought. But the shaman, apparently gathered other tribes to join the fight promising things that cannot be fulfilled if nothing happens.

Meanwhile, Gudrid is about to give birth during the whole thing. Quite bad timing.

you could cut the tension with a knife. a very difficult decision but it aligns with thorfinn's path, to avoid war. after all they've built and i came to like niska, it can't end like this, something else has to happen next chapter. not after how much thorfinn strived toward vinland his whole life.

Yukimura is amazing at painting an image/explaining a concept through dialectics while still keeping the reader in the frame of a story. will be very interesting to see how Einar moves forward given his initial resistance to Thorfinn's decision; lots of events unfolding here

While it seems like Yukimura might be going historically accurate, there are still so many things that could happen here. I had a pit in my stomach that just never went away ever since chapter 177, when it’s shown a rat is on the ship, and Vargar mentions it’s good luck. It still hasn’t gone away, regardless, there will be heartbreak. Wether war comes to fruition, or they just leave and the Vinland experiment comes to fail, or they make amends but Lnu continue to pass to the disease, there is no clean way out of this.
