you could cut the tension with a knife. a very difficult decision but it aligns with thorfinn's path, to avoid war. after all they've built and i came to like niska, it can't end like this, something else has to happen next chapter. not after how much thorfinn strived toward vinland his whole life.

Yukimura is amazing at painting an image/explaining a concept through dialectics while still keeping the reader in the frame of a story. will be very interesting to see how Einar moves forward given his initial resistance to Thorfinn's decision; lots of events unfolding here

While it seems like Yukimura might be going historically accurate, there are still so many things that could happen here. I had a pit in my stomach that just never went away ever since chapter 177, when it’s shown a rat is on the ship, and Vargar mentions it’s good luck. It still hasn’t gone away, regardless, there will be heartbreak. Wether war comes to fruition, or they just leave and the Vinland experiment comes to fail, or they make amends but Lnu continue to pass to the disease, there is no clean way out of this.

It really feels like things are going to be taken out of Thorfinn's hands soon despite his promise to the natives, not least because he'll end up being busy with his wife being about to give birth.

I felt Einar there when he fell to his knees, completely and utterly dejected. They built Vinland over so many sacrifices, and then Thorfinn just simply stated.. they'd leave. But then again, can't argue that too, because them willing to fight or not is one thing but actually going against an army of trained warriors is practically not reasonable right now.



Sky high tension right now, and moreover Gudrid's about to give birth too at that.. Thorfinn would become a father but this timing smh.
