If Rus and Eastern Roman Empire really get entirely skipped or we only get a flashback just glossing over it I think I am gonna lose the will to follow the manga. I am already kinda losing it just by thinking about it.You are reading VINLAND saga, I mean Vinland is the important place to go

Then why did we spend 54 chapters going around England exploring Askeladd's character? Why did we spend another ~50 chapters with Thorfinn on the farm? Why did we spend years reading relatively medicore Baltic Sea War? I know! If it's called Vinland Saga then we should've started in Vinland in the very first chapter.

Journey to Constantinople and selling those narwhal horns is actually the most relevant thing to the actual journey to Vinland in the entire story so far.

'Promising' Rus and Constantinople and then skipping it makes no sense. How can travelling big chunk of the known world, meeting lots of different cultures, peoples and relegions, and finally reaching "the City of Emperors", "The Qeen of all Cities", "Miklagard" or simply "Constantinople" be irrelevant? Visiting Constantinople should be one of the biggest, if not the biggest, event of anyone's life at the time, especially for a barbarian from Northern European wastes.

That journey and event should have tromendous impact on anyone's character and simply skipping such development is simply stupid. That's why I hope Yukimura doesn't do that and shows us the journey in a long flashback arc.

I wholeheartedly agree. The war was a distraction from the main objective. Skipping this journey makes no sense.

It's a bit disappointing that we don't get a Constantinople Arc. Characters could have gone through so many interesting adventures, going through the Rus and reaching the City of World's Desire. These would have been incredible settings.

It's a shame that we were set up for disappointment. The author promises us Miklagard but then just timeskips. If he never intended on having the crew go all the way to Greece, why didn't he just write that Thorfinn should meet some greek merchants in Paris or whatever? Instead of promising us Constantinople for nothing.

Thorfinn became a dad and got married too lol I still hope we get some glimpses from his travels in the Eastern Roman Empire. It would be a shame to not see the Empire at its peak period and the Varangian Guard at least once.

I think the next Arc is going to focus on Hild, its a feeling but there was a whole page only to show Hild face when everyone was celebrating, maybe is only to fill pages or its a indicator that Hild is going to be more in the focus (sorry for my bad grammar english not my native lenguage)

I'm happy that Thorfinn and Gudrid are together now, but it would have been nice to see their relationship develop.  Perhaps we'll get some flashbacks?  Hild has been traveling with Thorfinn for two years and still hoping to kill him?  It's time for her to move on.  She has no place with them anymore.

Halfdan and Sigurd are some of the most respectable characters in the entire Vinland Saga universe. Also it's awesome to see the angry Thorfinn grow up and have a family

Vinland Saga has always been about the characters. It seems to me you care more about Greece than the characters. If Yukimura has something more interesting to tell than Greece then I dont see what the problem is. Its like Greece is the only thing to look forward to in the story when it really isn't. And  no it wasn't built up just because Leif mentioned it in 1 or 2 chapters.

I won't lie, I was looking forward to the Rus and Greece for years. But of course I also care about the characters, and this journey was the perfect opportunity to develop them as well as introduce new interesting locations and characters. Especially after medicore Baltic Sea War arc. Most of the crew needs development, some desperately so. Like flashing out Gudrid and her developing her relationship with Thorfinn more, giving Einar some screentime after who knows how many years, and especially Hild who has been static and annoying since she was introduced. Whatever Yukimura decides to do in the future, skipping the journey doesn't make sense to me and is giant waste of potential. It's a bad idea and no one can convince me otherwise. Of course, this doesn't apply if he does decide to show it to us via flashback arc. The blasphemy is real

I just caught up to the manga after a week long binge, so I can't relate to the many weeks/months that some of you experienced, but to say that this arc was mediocre is nothing short of nonsensical

I could go on and on as to why this arc was good but tbf, this one panel alone is enough reasons as to why this arc (Like every other one in the series) was something special

it's good that he skipped the travel to costantinople, that was a subquest that would have made this manga unnecessary longer and honestly didn't interest me.

Now i want some character development for Hild,it's good to see thorfinn and gudrid together.
