Vinland Saga Chapter 99 Discussion

So Farmland saga has come to an end, I assume?  It was an....interesting, way to proceed with things after the bloody first half of this manga so far.  Quite curious if the author will now continue the manga and show the trials and tribulations that Thorfinn encompasses as he attempts to create his utopia.

                        The aftermath of the "Farmland Saga" continues as everyone pursues different paths, growing in the process. Next destination: Thorfinn's home village and his family!



Nearly 100 chapters... it's been a wild ride so far and I hope we get some special color pages next time. The real Vinland Saga and his biggest journey are about to start and I hope the quality stays the same.

Beautiful chapter, nice to see a proper conclusion to this saga, but will Thorfinn be able to escape fighting long enough to accomplish his goal? Or will he be thrust into a position where it's kill or be killed, or perhaps kill or watch a loved one die? What will he do then? Are his principals worth his own life? Or the life of the people he loves? Many possibilities ahead, this is only the beginning!

Nice.. Almost at the 100th chapter mark. Looking forward to seeing Thorfinn's mother and sister again and how they will react to his return.

It's a good chapter for rounding things up, next month will feature symbolic 100th chapter for reunion.

As someone who pretty much read this arc in go, it was simply excellent.



Pacing that allowed the plot to gradually build up. Was pretty exciting and you couldn't stop reading. There was also plenty of drama, character development and some twists along the way to enjoy.



Dunno if we're going to see some of the characters again, but for Thorgil it seems likely. Would be funny if he ends up challenging Thorkell or something like that.



Looking forward to see Thorfinn's family again.

one of the greatest manga arcs ever

Thorfinn's swollen face made me ROFL. Who'd expect that spoiled, dimwitted Orman would man up this much? I wonder if this is the last we'll ever see of Thorgil,or if he'll play some role in Thorfinn's adventure. Also, Ketil, you have no right to even utter Arneis's name, you scum -_-



I wonder who Ylfa is married to (prpbably that long-haired boy from the flashback in the prologue). I would love if Thorfinn makes a stop at Thors and Helga's homeland. There's still so much we don't know about Thors and what had caused that transformation in his character before he fled with his wife.

I'll miss you, Snake. I mean Roald.

Looks like it's the end of this arc. Felt pretty dragged out at the beginning but it was a good read.



I hope we see Snake again sometime in the future.



Looks like Thorfinn is going to reunite with his family. That's nice :)

I'll miss farmland saga, while many people didn't like it, for me it signified what this series was going to mean to me. And it means a lot.



Also omg!! Going back to Iceland!! I cannot wait for the reunion of Thorfinn and his family!

it's fucking weird seeing thorfinn smile so much. on the one hand, i respect the mangaka for turning away from having constantly-angry characters (as has happened in many series similar to this), but, at the same time, i miss the old thorfinn.
