Veil of the Hidden Path

In a sprawling city named Cenith, an ancient secret society controls the fate of the world from the shadows. The city exists between two realms: the mortal world, full of ordinary lives, and the veiled supernatural world, where powerful entities, unknown to the public, operate. These hidden beings shape history and can manipulate fate, time, and even memories. The existence of the Veil — a barrier between the two worlds — is a carefully guarded secret.
Our protagonist, Erith Vale, is a skilled but cynical detective who once worked as a top investigator for the City Watch, uncovering hidden crimes and solving mysteries of the supernatural. He lost his wife and child under mysterious circumstances, a tragedy that pushed him into isolation. However, his pursuit of the truth leads him back to the city, where strange occurrences and new murders with unexplainable features draw him into a dangerous world.
Erith soon discovers that the murder victims were once members of the Veiled Order, a forgotten organization with the ability to see and interact with beings from the supernatural realm. Their death marks the beginning of an unraveling mystery that could potentially tear apart the Veil, allowing the supernatural to fully invade the human world.
Erith is pulled into a web of secrets, where every answer only leads to more questions. He has to uncover the truth behind the Veil, confront his own dark past, and survive long enough to stop the calamity from consuming both realms.
