In a village that is like the “First Village”, lived the innkeeper’s son, Ruth. In his previous life he had no affinity to women because he was a burly man but since he has become a handsome youth in this life, he is going to do his best (However, he still isn’t popular at all). At that time, he discovered that his childhood best friend, Alec, was a hero. And then, for some strange reason, Alec begged Ruth “Until I come home, please wait for me” …

There is a tale in the First Village where the famous people who were involved with the hero, Alec, came along one-by-one to cause trouble and approach Ruth, who was leisurely living out his life in the countryside.

A spoiled and infatuated Hero x A dense and broad-minded Innkeeper’s son

Honestly, I really thought the main character turned brain dead after being reincarnated, but anyway, so far the story is going smoothly and the side characters are pretty likable, especially Maxim.... Heeheheheh....

Anyway, kudos also to the translator!

I apologize for leaving a review so early, but I couldn't bear the sheer stupidity and obliviousness of the main character (MC). Or the incredibly contrived misunderstanding that's brewing.

So, the male lead (ML)/Alec discovers he's a hero but doesn't want to leave the MC/Ruth. He hides in Ruth's room and almost confesses, then engages in a dubious consent situation with the MC, and they definitely did it because the MC later complains about pain in his butt. ML had to leave early, and the MC is left wondering if maybe he wanted to graduate from being a virgin?

If the rest of the novel is going to have moments as ridiculous as this, then I don't want to read it. I've dropped it. Fair warning to others who might also dislike such elements. It might be a good novel based on other reviews, but I'm just going to pass on this one.

For now, I give it a 4.5 rating, and the story truly looks promising. The premises and plot are smoothly conveyed. I can't wait to see how ML expresses his love to MC, and I'm also looking forward to the appearance of another love rival for ML. Can't wait for the next chapter!

    Review as of Chapter 17:

It's hard for me to like this dense main character. He let himself sleep with ML but is dense enough to not understand ML's feelings. Additionally, he lets ML2 keep believing that he's a woman and doesn’t correct him even when they’re alone, especially when he keeps calling him "Lady Ruth." (If in Japanese he’s calling him by a gender-neutral name, then this point might be invalid, but who knows?) To me, it seems so manipulative, especially since ML2 even went so far as to buy him a gift that might be significant enough to propose to him. That's why I can't stand him.

Apart from this main complaint, I honestly like this story. It’s a pretty good one in terms of world-building, as of Chapter 17.

Edit: Hold on, I read this on a translation site and didn’t see the tags here. I was freaking surprised to find out this is adapted into a manga and is labeled as a harem. Holy hell, LMAO. Does this mean he’ll have two guys?

Edit 2: False alarm, as this is a false harem tag (it still shows harem criteria, but it’s not a harem, lmao). (To be edited as I read more chapters)

The plot itself isn't anything unique, and the main love interest (ML) is the standard possessive childhood friend type, but I really love the main character (MC). He’s a cool, bear-like uncle in the body of an androgynous ikemen, and he’s so eager for a girlfriend that he’s completely oblivious to both the ML and the other love interests. The image of a long-haired, feminine bottom taking care of an axe while being cuddled by the hero, an ikemen top, is hilarious to me. However, I also feel sorry for the MC when people around him don’t realize he’s actually this cool, dependable guy. The MC's family has its own interesting quirks; both parents are great, and I feel sorry for his older brother.

I don’t really care about the main couple, and honestly, most of the NPCs are super annoying. I genuinely despise the villagers, no matter how much they eventually start praising the MC. I don’t have 50 years of patience, so I keep hoping a horde of demons comes and eats them all up. If it weren’t for the MC, I would’ve already dropped this story after Daniel showed up, but I want to keep reading for the sake of the MC and his family.

I love the story and how the main lead (ML) is overly possessive of the main character (MC). However, I can't stand how dense the MC is. Honestly, how could he consider sleeping with his best friend just an act of kindness with no strings attached? That level of obliviousness is quite frustrating. Though, I do enjoy how the ML takes advantage of that in this chapter. , I would really prefer the MC to be more aware of his feelings toward his best friend.

I was also really looking forward to the harem, especially since Mr. Maxim has already made his move. I wonder if he will push further after the recent cold encounter with Hero.

For now, I think it’s great. I’ll wait for better translations of the chapters. I found another translation, but it’s hard to understand, so I prefer the one provided here.

It's kind of nice...? There are only up to episode 28 so far, but that's okay. I love the world they've built; it's fascinating. Recently, I've been reading a lot of heavy, dark stories, so it's refreshing to return to something lighter and more familiar. I adore the main characters. However, I have one major issue with this book, and it has become a really, really, really big problem for me.

    **Spoiler**
He raped him!!!! He fucking raped and assaulted him!!!! I knew it was going to happen—I read the tags. But seriously... the guy raped him. And that's not even the main issue here! My problem is the hero's reaction to it. What does "wanted to stop being a virgin" mean? Dude, he raped you! I understand it's a novel, but there's a limit to how unrealistic it can be! The guy raped you, so at least you should go through some emotional turmoil because of it! I don't care how much you didn't want it—it's still rape! This reaction is just ridiculous. There’s a limit to how much I can tolerate!

I apologize if there are any spelling or grammar errors; English is not my first language.

First time writing a review! It's really cute, and the main character is very oblivious. I enjoy it a lot. There's not too much drama or information overload, which makes it perfect for me. I just can't figure out where to find the other chapters though 😭
