The Legacy Of Artifice

In a magical world shrouded in darkness, a young scientist awakens a few minutes after his death, which was caused by a miscalculation while trying to integrate a nuclear battery into one of his androids. Upon awakening, he finds himself trapped in the body of a young beggar, struggling for food on the unforgiving streets of a city in the middle of a vast desert, where survival is a daily battle.

Life on the streets seems a terrible fate until a mysterious man, wearing a pointed hat, discards an object that he initially considers useless. Upon touching it, a resonant voice invades his mind.
