The Inner Odyssey

The Apocalypse was in full swing. Defiled creatures—once powerful beings corrupted by the Great Collision—stalked the land, hunting for prey. Unfortunately for them, humanity had long since retreated behind the fortified walls of the Sanctuary of Everlast. During one of his routine excursions outside the Sanctuary, Alden becomes separated from Celeste, his childhood friend and secret love. In that moment, he regrets never having found the courage to confess his feelings. Somehow managing to survive through a mix of cunning and luck, Alden awakens with newfound powers. Instead of gaining a typical ability, he acquires the power of decay. During this transformation, he receives a vision from his future self, warning him not to trust the Asterons—celestial beings who had once saved humanity from certain doom. Ordinarily, such a revelation wouldn't trouble Alden much. However, there was one significant problem: Celeste was bound to an Asteron. And not just any ordinary Asteron...
