If you like grim worlds with a dark fantasy feel, unfathomable Lovecraftian horrors, and the threat of madness at every corner, this is the story for you.

As I have noted, the beginning will be slow but not uninteresting. The protagonist is highly intelligent, manipulative, and cunning but not overly ruthless nor a murder hobo.

His first taste of power will come relatively late, but it will be sweet, and worth it after all the hurdles he will have faced.

TLDR: Read the book! It’s Amazing!

The quality of of this novel is top notch. The main character is smart and makes decisions based on reason and logic which make his wins feel earned and losses don’t seem to come from no where.


The other characters actually feel fleshed out and have motivations that don’t only revolve around the MC. It is common to see novels especially on Webnovel have their author dumb down every character their MC interacts with in order to make them feel smarter. That is not the case with this novel. Any one of the many interesting side characters feel as though  they could have been an MC in their own right.

The world building is already amazing and the MC hasn’t even left his original starting county yet. The author has been clever with their use of different ideologies being more prevalent in different places which makes what country your from actually matter. Usually in these novels there’s just a bunch of random ones and a “Forbidden” mysterious country but here there is actual depth to the backgrounds.

The fight scenes have all been well written and have shown qualities of different characters shining even in the fights and the author seems to understand the art of showing and not telling.

Overall this is a hidden gem. I’m glad to have been one of this novels first readers and wish it the success it deserves for being such good quality.

All I can say is Peak!!!!

the Lovecraftian elements pulled me in, the grammar and overall writing made me stay and now, the world building and lore keeps me begging for more chaps.

First of all, stability of updates. 2ch per day. No comments.
Second of all, writing quality. It`s fine. ˙ᵕ˙
Splendorous world background. I already like it. Seemingly inspired by LOTM but quite original.
Good character design.

Story development. Fine... but... maybe too long? For example, Nysa's parts show the story from a different perspective. It`s good but just too long. I am not really interested in her pov, so (in my opinion) the length needs to be reduced a bit. (づ ᴗ _ᴗ)づ♡
And... the pace of the story needs more speed. Also, we have more chapters about others characters than the protagonist, which is not very good.

The protagonist seems kind of smart. But he is a bit too emotional/impulsive sometimes?
Also, I'm not a weirdo who wants the main character to be a chaotic evil murder hobo, however I don't like irrational characters.
If, let's say, there was a ritual requiring some innocent people to be tortured for secret knowledge. And the protagonist wouldn't use it because he "has standards". I will be a little... disappointed. (╥﹏╥)

However, despite everything, this story deserves 5 stars.

So good, I love how greatly detailed the world building is. Furthermore, the portrayal of multiple character perspectives throughout the storyline is so fun to read. It’s unique and I have not read many webnovels that do this and show different characters’ side of the story and not just the main  character’s.

I read 80 chapters in one go...really amazing..at first I was struggling with the naming of the characters and cities lol but soon I got hooked in the thrill of the story that keeps you on edge..the world seems very dark with alot of mysteries and you can't help but wonder how things work..the power system is not amazing and unpredictable but you can understand it as you keep reading..I thank the author for his creativity and for making the me experience the story as om part of it which is very rare to find here..So 5 stars deserved for this hidden gem..A highly recommended masterpiece..read and you won't regret

I'm about 10 chapters in and i have to say i love this novel already. from the second chapter I loved the atmosphere that the author was creating in a similar vein to lotm by introducing an elder horror of some kind. no grammar or spelling mistakes either which is a godsend since that's what brings most of the new novels here down many points for me. can't wait to fully catch up cause i can feel this will be a future hit!
