The short story will continue to be the staple of the one-semester literature course, and rightfully so, but for those instructors who would like to add a longer piece or two without committing to a full-scale novel, the in-between stories I've suggested are worth consideration. Of course, my list is far from exhaustive and there are many more fine works whose lengths fall in that gray area betwixt story and novella. Teachers have to beware of publishing tricks and traditional perceptions. They have to look between the covers of the book to decide if it is a length their students can manage. They very well may discover what Forster described as a "beautifully shaped" work whose "final effect is pre-arranged. . .and is completely successful when it comes" (153). A gift well worth sharing with students of literature.

"I'm f-fine" I stammered. It was really hard to talk without crying. Soon enough I burst into tears.

Yes, everything was understood in the moment I entered the room. Who Selina is, who I am, what our purpose was. Pawns, just for a simple game, yet it was the reason for my existence. I just can't pass the game off as simple, I can't help but revere my creator.

Enjoying the novel so far but the author seems to have trouble remebering numbers in chaptersFor example at the start it was said there was 500 million people in the military base camp but then in later chapters it was 5 milllion. He constantly exaggerates numbers, In the latest couple of chapters its a auction where the mc puts something on auction and receives money prepaid before auction starts which he uses to buy 108mil worth of stuff but then in the auction his thing went up in price to 10mil and he says he has never seen that much money. And at the start of the auction was a d class weapon supposedly worth billions but later in but they skip that because everyone wants mcs stuff which he thenauctions off for 100 hundred million (Which somehow becomes 1 billion in the next chapter) But the auctioneer says he has never sold anything worth that much
