In a world forever changed by the appearance of mysterious portals, Earth is no longer the only frontier. Victor grew up on the fringes of this new society. Orphaned and excluded, even by those meant to care for him, he was forced into a life of theft just to survive. After nearly losing his place in the orphanage, he began stealing from the wealthy to pay his way, juggling a double life as a diligent student and desperate thief.

Driven by the need to escape his circumstances and provide for those he cares about, Victor sees the Forsaken World as both his greatest risk and his only chance. With alliances forming and enemies closing in, he must decide: will he fall to the dangers of the Forsaken World, or rise as one of its greatest Evolvers?
