On the day when thousands of Guin-gwe surged toward Manhattan Beach like a tsunami, the United States fell. Faced with an alien species that devours all moving life—including humans—Haerim climbed into the car of a man who appeared out of nowhere, simply to survive.
The Guin-gwe ultimately consumed most of the American population, and now, in the vast emptiness of what remains, Haerim feels completely isolated—alone with Taekyung.
A pre-prepared safe house, the combat power to hunt Guin-gwe.
Taekyung possesses all the abilities needed to survive in this shattered world, so why is he dragging around someone as useless as her?
“Even if we face the Guin-gwe, I will protect you, Haerim.”
Haerim didn’t want to be abandoned by Taekyung, who had promised her survival.
If she could at least pretend to be a doctor—clumsily or not—maybe that would be her one redeeming value.
All the while, she’s unaware that the man is watching her organize the medical supplies—his gaze full of clear displɛasʊrɛ.
