With a second chance given to her after a pathetic ending to a life she didn’t want, Irene Litharion decides that she will follow in her father’s footsteps and become a knight.

Waking up in the body of her eleven year old self, she’s reinvigorated to follow her heart. She has the rare blood of ancient warriors in her veins and promises to not turn her back to it anymore.

Prepared for the sacrifices she will have to make to live the life she wants, a new challenge is presented when the only way she can become an apprentice knight is to turn her back on femininity altogether. The years she spent being forced to attend etiquette lessons go out the window and instead, daily sword practice takes place.

Her father does all he can to get her into the knighthood, but it’s up to her to show her strength and skill to stay in it.

However, it’s different than she expects when the Monster War ravages her homeland, she learns the sting of loss, and secrets of her own blood present themselves the more she leans into the thrill of battle.

Overall a fun, light read. Some writing mistakes here and there but nothing that'll ruin your reading experience.I honestly would prefer less bedroom camping from the MC. (But I won't complain that much since this is a common trope in manga/light novels of this nature)One thing that did have me confused was... how do I word this... the MC's misogynistic-misandrist views towards their fellow man? There seems to be a lot of negativity towards "relying on a man" and a lot of describing the MLs so far as "A Man" as if they're an object or something?I don't think I'm wording this correctly... Uhh... like how some Writer's write about not wanting to "rely on a woman" for something or describe women as "a woman" in a... derogatory regard?I get the same vibes from our MC sometimes, despite the fact they're supposed to be male, both in the past and in the present(?).I don't know, to me the MC shouldn't be referring to the ML's in that way, nor should he be ashamed that a fellow man is helping him out. Brothers in arms, and all...But hey, that's just a me opinion!

Very, very confusing plotline, many spelling mistakes in the chapters forcing you to re-read something thinking that you were just being stupid. The chapters jump from being a medieval society to refining oil in about 10 chapters and within the next few chapters having diggers and producing industrial piping and whatnot. The kingdom building aspect of this novel is alright and has some well-thought foundation building for a modern city.

Miss Martian in her classic form, levitating in the air a good four feet over Cheshire and Hook's heads. "You'll never find Doctor Roquette," she tells Cheshire with conviction.
