But oh boy, was I wrong. We're 100 chapters in, and there’s still a ton of unnecessary filler. This novel seems more focused on background characters than the main character.For example, there are 50 to 70 chapters of random mining for mana stones—completely unnecessary. This could have been handled earlier in the story or skipped altogether. Instead, we get a drawn-out sequence that feels like it’s there just to pad the novel. And the whole "killing people with snakes" arc feels like a convoluted way to stretch the story without adding meaningful progression.Even worse, after 100 chapters, the protagonist is still a 5-year-old acting like a full-grown adult. I get that this is a fantasy story, but even fantasy needs some realism. It’s becoming boring. You could skip 10 to 30 chapters and still feel like you haven’t missed anything—that’s how painfully slow the story is.The writing itself is solid, but the pacing and unnecessary padding make this novel feel disappointing. It could really benefit from a rewrite or a significant cut to its length.
