Popular Reviews
The artwork is stunning and flows beautifully. I appreciate the character designs, even though they occasionally appear dated, particularly in facial expressions. Still, the strong storyline and intricate characters easily compensate for that.
This isn't a comedy, nor is it a typical school slice-of-life narrative, despite the protagonists being high school students. There's a significant amount of infidelity woven throughout the manga, but contrary to another reviewer's opinion, I believe it's integral to the plot rather than a contrived element. There's also some violence, but it remains tame—just typical teenage scuffles. Overall, it's an outstanding story featuring compelling characters. On a side note, I usually move on to another manga after finishing one, but this one had me revisiting it repeatedly—three times, in fact! Yes, it resonated with me that much.

In Junior High, Honami and his first love, Terumi, used to pleasure each other in a hot, cramped room at the gas station. However, Terumi was unable to fully commit to Honami, and they never confessed their feelings or even shared a kiss. Now, Honami is in love with his classmate Shouji and enjoys a genuine relationship and sex life. But when Honami shares his past with Shouji, curiosity leads Shouji to meet Terumi. An unexpected attraction develops between Honami's ex-lover and current lover, setting the stage for a volatile love triangle where someone is bound to get hurt.
The review
Enough of heavy stories, deep characters, and intricate plots that stir up nostalgia—let’s dive into something more intimate! After featuring serious reads for a while, I’m ready to spotlight something for the perverts among us (yes, myself included). Today, I present "Mukizu ja irarenee" by Sadahiro Mika—a work so steamy it might make the censors blush and leave your Aunties whispering “Oh, Shocking!” while secretly ogling the handsome boys. So grab your fan, turn down the heater, and let’s talk about hot guys engaging in passionate bedroom escapades.
First off, Sadahiro Mika excels at creating an abundance of eye-catching male beauties. This is certainly true in "Mukizu ja irarenee." These boys are stunning—sexy, toned bodies, chiseled faces, firm, perfectly shaped buttocks, and those signature Sadahiro Mika lips that look perpetually botoxed. She frequently showcases her characters in flattering pin-up poses, ensuring that even if the story doesn’t captivate you, your eyes will still enjoy the ride. Her art is impressive, but it’s not what you’ll remember this story for.
Sadahiro Mika is renowned for her explicit yaoi, leaving nothing to the imagination and aiming to shock readers out of their pants. That’s exactly what her fans adore. Her characters are typically gorgeous hunks whose defining trait is their lack of moral boundaries, hesitation toward taboo-breaking, and complete surrender to hormonal impulses. In "Mukizu ja irarenee," the main cast starts at 16 and boasts a sex life more active than some Hollywood stars.
This might sound like a shallow excuse for drawing pornography, but I genuinely disagree. I believe she deserves praise. She masterfully strings one sex scene after another, weaving a coherent narrative through them. Surprisingly, she manages to develop characters and evoke emotions—even if these elements won’t spark high literary discussions. Without the sex scenes, the story would fall apart, yet within its context, it works remarkably well.
One of her techniques involves dialogue during sex—whether dirty talk, words of affection, or expressions of jealousy. She uses these moments to deliver messages to the reader, emphasizing the emotional intensity behind the physical acts. Another key method is presenting the story from Shouji’s perspective, allowing us to hear his thoughts throughout. Despite being primarily composed of sex scenes, the manga conveys a range of emotions such as anxiety, jealousy, despair, heartbreak, and love. Interestingly, I found myself rooting for Shouji and Terumi, viewing Honami as an obstacle, even though he’s clearly the primary victim in this situation. The betrayal stings deeply, but instead of sympathizing with Honami, I caught myself making excuses for Shouji. This bias stems from the story’s focus on Shouji’s point of view, creating a compelling narrative despite my awareness of its inherent unfairness. What stood out most was the satisfying conclusion—it provided closure without being overly idealistic. It acknowledged that couples argue but affirmed their enduring love. Ultimately, everyone involved could agree on achieving a "Happy Ending," which is commendable for a love triangle.
The plot and characters exist almost entirely within the confines of their relationships. We don’t see any families, there’s only one brief scene set at the high school, and no outside characters appear unless tied directly to the main storyline. Besides the three central figures—Shouji, Terumi, and Honami—there’s only one additional character, Han, who plays a small role... naturally involving some fluid exchange somewhere along the way. All other figures are mere background scenery. This detachment from external reality reduces the story’s realism, but perhaps realism wasn’t the author’s goal. Instead, Sadahiro Mika aims to entertain, and if watching attractive young men indulge in uninhibited passion appeals to you, then her works are worth exploring.
