I find it very odd that a kid that was living alone for years in the slums has not a single ounce of "Street Smarts". Plot armor and System reliance is way too heavy + I'm not a fan of naive Mcs that can't think by themselvesThe world building looks pretty good and it's made in a very unique setting but just the MC ruins it for me.  Maybe he gets some character development but I haven't seen other reviews mentioning it...I expect a thief to be smart and cunning but the MC is directly the opposite with heavy plot armor which doesn't make sense given the setting he was raised into

Author def loves cliffhangers. The novel itself has superb prose and interesting premise. Pace is good as well, but it's not rushed. Changes in POVs are rare on this platform, and it depends on the reader.

amazing story, i feel soo connected with the main character with all the description you provided and to be honest all the struggles he goes through it hits like a ( he just like me fr...lol moment) i love it keep going

A shockwave was felt inside his dantian. It felt like thunder in his ears but nothing was heard outside. He breathed out a sign of relief when he saw that he made no sound outside so he quickly meditated and checked his dantian and what he saw shocked him. He saw the book and it says: <<Sun Burst Technique>>. "So it's that book". The <<Sun Burst Technique>> was a technique found by his ancestors in one of the ruins in the East Continent. It was an incomplete technique with only one page but it was considered a Foundation Establishment Technique because of the strength of the first page. But what shocked him is that the book was absorbed into the vortex inside his dantian  and then a book was being created in front of his eyes. It was the <<Sun Burst Technique>> but it was a complete manual this time. This made Ling Tian flabbergasted. "If the first page of the <<Sun Burst Technique>> was already considered a Foundation Establishment technique, how powerful would the other pages be??" just thing about it made Ling Tian excited. "Better keep it a secret or else unwanted danger may befall my family and clan." Ling Tian was excited but he knew his limits. If something ever happened to his clan and family, he would never forgive himself. Ling Tian then collected other books to make himself less suspicious. Ling Tian then went home and practice the 3 techniques he got. The other two was <<Lightning Blade>> and <<Waterfall Shuriken>>, after he got the gist of it, he went to the Cultivation Door Training when he suddenly met with his friend, Ling Shi, a girl that was adopted by his clan. "Where are you going Tian'ge?" asked by Ling Shi, Ling Shi was known for his crush with Ling Tian but everyone looked down at him and only Ling Shi and his family in him so Ling Tian regarded Ling Shi as an important friend. "I'm going to the Cultivation Door Training Ground" Ling Tian said but this made Ling Shi worried that about his safety. "How about going shopping with me right now?" Ling Shi said and this made Ling Tian's heart skip a beat. "Maybe after going to the Training Ground" Ling Tian said. "Okay" Ling Shi said with a disappointed look in her face. Entering the Training Grounds, Ling Tian was greeted by the elders and quickly went to the Entrance of the a door with a plaque saying: 'Cultivation Door' but before he entered someone blocked his way. It was a skinny man with a handsome face but compared to Ling Tian he was far off. His name is Long Shi, his father is an elder but Long Shi took the name of his mother because of his father's promise to his wife when she died while giving birth to Long Shi, but Long Shi constantly bullied Ling Tian for being weak, and although no his first name is is not Ling, no one ever doubted his loyalty to the clan. Ling Tian also did not retaliate by insulting him not having a mother because this is the world where the strong preys the weak and fighting with fists is the best way to end it, Long Shi showed good prowess and was one of the geniuses in the clan because he reached Foundation Establishment in 12 years old and was now in the peak of first stage. "Well, well, well, if it isn't Ling Tian. You have guts showing your face around here" Long Shi said with disdain but Ling Tian paid no heed. Although Long Shi acted that way, he is only like that because Ling Tian was the only son of the Patriarch and was only an average cultivator, all of the past patriarchs were geniuses and this is first time an average cultivator appeared in the Patriarch's family so everyone disdained him. Ling Tian calmly look at him because he also disdained himself but now is not the time to get revenge but to strengthen himself to protect the clan. "I am here to challenge the Cultivation Door Training Ground" said Ling Tian calmly.
