An intriguing book, am definitely looking forward to more instalment

It's really unfortunate for the main character, but I'll be honest, your writing is really neat, and everything written is easy to read and understand, not messy. And the plot is also quite impressive,I will wait for the next chapters.

Shameless Author here :)I decided to be the first person to review my work and maybe answer some questions about what to expect from LATE.*What is the story about? It's about a man/boy named Alpha(Lancelot) struggling to change his fate while surviving a dystopian, semi-medieval, semi-futuristic world in which the gods are planning to wage a war that threatens to destroy all of reality in its wake.*What type of person is Alpha/Lancelot? He is a very, and I mean very selfish person who wishes to experience the joys of life. From taking extra food during breakfast to ignoring someone's suffering in exchange for his safety, Lancelot has no desire to live for others as he was never given this chance in his previous life. However, as the story goes on, he changes and starts to grow attached to his friends and family, even going as far as fighting the embodiment of Death itself to protect those he cares about. He may also have a twisted sense of humor...*Will Lancelot be overpowered? Ok, so without spoiling what happens in the future, Lancelot will pretty much be a skilled mage and swordsman, but that won't stop him from facing insurmountable odds stacked against him. Using all his skills, Lancelot will challenge the world of Terra with brute force, outsmarting, deception, and much more. However, at a certain point in the story, he discovers his Innate Mana Technique, which changes the war's course entirely. So, to answer the question, not at first but later in the story, yes, he will be. The beginning will be like Dark Souls esk, while the later points of the story will be... Please read the story to find out!*Power system? Okay, this one is exciting to discuss, as it will depend on the character. For starters, each character in LATE will receive an Innate Mana technique, a power they alone have and no one else can use. For example, Leon's "Scorch and Ignite" is exclusively for him and him only. Someone can copy its components and functions but cannot use it as well as the original user. Until the original dies, no one will have it. Once the original dies, it will get passed on to someone worthy of receiving the power. When someone- based on their birth, living situation growing up, nature as a person, and their future- receives an Innate Mana Technique, they will immediately understand its use cases, functions, and power. It will be instinctual, like breathing is. Now for the magic itself. Like TBATE, which has elementals and a mana core, but due to story reasons, humanity and all mortals are limited in power. They cannot reach the fabled heights of humanity. Each level of a person's mana core brings them closer in line with nature, the laws of the universe, and the essence of mana itself. Fire, water, earth, and wind mana are the basics and lead to other types like lightning, ice, metal, and enchantments. Some powers like illusions, dreams, manipulation of space and time, reality warping, teleportation, transformations, and much more can be found in the power system of LATE. Whether they are seen through the Innate Mana Technique system or the basic Mana system that expands upon itself, the limits of the characters are their imagination and the powers they have at their disposal. And that's not even everything. Now we have summons, like Lancelot's Lightning Wolf or Ifrit. The contractor, the person who summons the spirit and bounds them to reality through a contract of blood and mana, are connected via the soul and can read each other's thoughts, emotions, and memories, and have a much deeper understanding of each other than outsiders would. Like Leon and Ifrit, both parties can fuse with a Contract Augmentation, increasing their innate abilities. Leon, with his fusion of Ifrit, for example, gets an explosive increase in strength, speed, reflexes, reactions, and an increase of firepower when using Fire magic. The power system has a lot in store for you all to dive into as I continue to write the story, so look forward to what I have in store!*Romance? (This is a big question, but I have a definitive answer) In short, Lancelot will have a lover in this story. However, it will not go off to a great start. If you can tell how it even starts without me telling you how it does, The romance between Lancelot and his lover is very different than most, as it has an exciting start. Lancelot doesn't even realize it starts(not in the way you think, in fact, in a horrible way) until it's too late. When he finds out, a significant event changes the story's pace.*Harem? Nope, I'm not even thinking about it. Maybe, but probably not.*How much foreshadowing will LATE have? 100's worth of chapters. I already set up the fated final duel between Leon and Abaddon(hundreds of chapters in advance), the connection between the Slayer, Samuel, and Christina. I have the Lancelot lover situation in the works since the story's beginning. Foreshadowing is there for all of you to see and read; look out for it.*Will characters die? Many will, so many will that I will get flamed in the comments for killing off fan-favorite characters. That is not to say I will kill for shock value, instead characters will die once they serve their purpose, set an example, or to complete a task given to them(If you know you know). Think of it like this: no one is safe in LATE; everyone will have to put their lives on the line while fighting to change the outcome of the three-sided war.*Pov? Yes, it is Pov-based. After talking it over with some friends in the early stages of the story, I have come to not title whose POV it is. Instead, I will leave it up to you, the reader, to figure out who is in charge in the chapter, using the character's personality, word choice, and actions to tell who he/she is.*How long will LATE be? At least 500 chapters, as I have most of the big events in the story planned out in my head or a Google Doc page. Funny enough, I even have character sheets of words for each character.*Update schedule? As this is a second job and I have a regular 40+ hour job, I will focus on around 1-2 chapters a week. This will be subject to change once LATE takes off, but until then, I will most likely upload once a week and do a second one as thanks for support or a special(Hence the three stars for updates; wait, never mind, I can't read, disregard this). I will usually update Monday and Thursday for the special(if I can finish on time).*How far do I want LATE to go as a series? I want to push my novel to the furthest reaches of the internet and one day have the story I love to get turned into an anime adaptation like Lord Of The Mysteries(LOTM) and even be like The Beginning After The End(TBATE) and receive a webtoon.*Am I too full of myself for giving myself five stars? Nope. Like my inspiration, Kentaro Miura(The Author of Berserk), I strive for perfection in my art and wish to bring the best story I can conceive and give it to you, the reader. This rating reminds me of what I promised when bringing LATE into the world, as I will do everything I can to make this story amazing.Any questions that weren't answered here can be asked here on Web Novel or in my discord server(Link in my profile)

Hands down, one of the best football web novels out there. The story is great; however, I would like it if it would focus a tad bit more on slice of life: for example, a chapter about his normal daily routine and the interactions that go into that.
