Wow. For me, after I finish reading something, I have this overwhelming urge to share my thoughts with others, even if no one's really listening. It's just something I need to do—it makes me feel better. Does anyone else experience that feeling?

Anyway, I thought this was such a beautiful story. Yes, beautiful. Super romantic, and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the art in this manga. It was stunning!! I don't think anyone could argue against that. The art added such an emotional depth to the story.

The characters' reactions were predictable but felt genuine. Yeah, if someone was biting my neck, I'd be pretty uncomfortable too. But the plot was genuinely captivating, and I must say, I eagerly anticipated reading it every day. After school, I'd head straight to the computer and dive right in. It became an addiction.

I REALLY wish this manga had continued for longer! I truly enjoyed it, and if it had gone on, it would have evolved into something even more delightful, and I definitely would have kept reading.

But I am looking forward to re-reading it soon! Overall, a heartfelt romantic tale with breathtakingly gorgeous art—and vampires. Sweeeeeeet.

As an enthusiast of the vampire genre and adorable bishies, I must admit that Bloody Kiss is truly disappointing. The story's concept is rather ordinary, but the absence of vital plot details utterly ruins it. Bloody Kiss starts with a charming orphan girl who inherits a dilapidated estate from her mysterious grandmother, where two vampires reside. At no point does the girl inquire about her grandmother or attempt to learn more about her, nor does she ever question the existence of vampires or whether living with them is safe. It is never clarified whether this is a world where vampires are acknowledged to exist or if they are merely legendary creatures. This ambiguity creates confusion in the storyline and is never properly resolved.

Art: 7 - Not the finest I've encountered, yet some panels are quite appealing. The roses are intricately detailed and stunning. The characters and backgrounds are above average, but there isn't enough expression or detail to merit a higher rating.

Characters: 3 - My primary issue with the narrative is the heroine's lack of common sense. She opts to live in the estate, which is three hours away from her school, commuting daily by bike. Besides attending school, she works part-time to support the freeloading vampires. Kiyo falls short as any kind of feminist role model. The male leads are good-looking but predictable and dull. Honestly, I can't recall a single remarkable or memorable trait of any character.

Enjoyment: 3 - It feels as though the mangaka lacked an editor. The plot's inconsistency is almost comical. How is Kiyo, the heroine, an honors scholarship student yet has poor grades? Why, in one scene, does Kuroboshi drink Kiyo's blood and pull away without any blood on his lips or bite marks on Kiyo? Then, two panels later, the blood and bite marks mysteriously appear. Despite all these flaws, the manga is an easy read. It generally flows decently (most of the time) and provides just enough enjoyment to make you hope the story will improve in the next chapter. It never does.

Overall: 3 - Regrettably, the story fails to execute the cliched plot effectively. The lack of clear direction, murky plot, and absence of common sense harm the story's potential.

I wouldn't recommend reading Bloody Kiss, but the extra stories are surprisingly enjoyable. Angel Koiuta is slightly above average but very cute. Kyuuketsuki no Onegai stands out as the gem of the series. Its plot is original, and the characters develop significantly within a short timeframe. I would definitely suggest checking out Kyuuketsuki no Onegai.

Bloody Kiss was incredibly romantic, yet simultaneously humorous! The love between Kiyo and Kuroboshi throughout the book is sure to keep manga fans turning pages. Bloody Kiss was a delight to both marvel at and laugh through, with dialogue that was truly unexpected and adorable. The manga was entertaining as the main character's moments of love were constantly interrupted, and it was always charming when the mood shifted to romance.

First review. Oh boy.
Down to business, boys.

Bloody Kiss, a manga that delves into the unfolding life of a young woman living with vampires—a perilous yet peculiar scenario all at once.

This is how I rated this work:

[Story - 9]
It was a narrative unlike anything I've encountered before. Life with vampires. What a fantastic concept—placing creatures often deemed "monsters" right in the midst of the very race that labels them as such. Honestly, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It had a slice-of-life vibe but included twists that made it far more captivating than typical entries in the genre.

[Art - 10]
The artwork. The artist's style made expressions effortlessly readable and comprehensible. The manga itself was meticulously organized, featuring clean panels that enable readers to fully appreciate the visuals in a short span of time. In my opinion, the character designs were exceptional.

[Character - 9]
The characters were engaging. They pulled me in alongside the storyline, effectively setting the tone for various situations—whether comedic, serious, or romantic. That said, there were some clichéd personality traits commonly found in many romance mangas.

[Overall - 10]
I award Bloody Kiss an outstanding overall score of 10. A compelling story complemented by superb art and captivating characters. Bloody Kiss deserves my praise and a standing ovation.

Predictable and dull right from the start.
No surprising plot twists. No character growth. The artwork is decent, though.
I found myself speeding through the pages, eager for it to end so I could quickly move on to the next manga.
It might work well as a standard romance/comedy anime, though...
I wouldn't recommend this manga, even if you're just looking to pass the time. Unless you're a sucker for romance, you'll likely be bored out of your mind.

Reading the positive reviews here has me wondering if there might be some translation error or misrepresentation in the OneManga version I've read, which led me to think so poorly of this series.

That said, I'm not typically drawn to stories about women dating vampires. It was just that OneManga shutting down made me curious enough to click the "Surprise Me" button, and this is what I got. (Before this, I wasn't a heavy OneManga user, so I figured I'd make the most of the few manga I hadn't explored yet.)

One thing I have to admit, though, is that "Twilight" completely altered my perspective on this genre.

Previously, I would have dismissed these kinds of plots as rambling, disjointed, and lacking any appeal to keep me reading until the end. But when you factor in the clichéd elements popularized by that novel, a manga like this seems like a more heartfelt parody of the whole concept—and it makes it somewhat bearable. Not because it's one of the best parodies of vampire romance, but because, regardless of its quality, these types of manga feel like the characters actually care about each other. Instead of page after page of convoluted, nonsensical events, a manga is shorter, more visually engaging, and thus feels less like a waste of time compared to other works with similar premises.

Thank you for sharing Deimos and Lumina with us! I loved Chapter LIES and I can't stop crying even after I'm done reading it... And I agreed with one comment in here that said Deimos POV opened up all the emotions all over again but I'm glad you let us have a glimpse of his mind.. ...
