In the small, isolated town of Glenville, former investigative reporter Chris Harrison returns to escape his troubled past, only to find himself drawn into a chilling mystery. Over the past six months, several people have gone missing without a trace, and the town’s residents remain tight-lipped about the disappearances. As Chris digs deeper into the case, he uncovers strange stories about ancient wolves that once roamed the woods—wolves that may still haunt the land.
His investigation leads him to an old, abandoned hunting lodge deep in the forest, where he discovers a journal filled with cryptic accounts of a supernatural pack that has protected the town for centuries. The journal speaks of a curse, marking certain individuals as part of the pack, who transform into werewolves under the full moon.
Chris’s quest for answers puts him at odds with the town's inhabitants, including his old friend, Sheriff Jack, and Mary, the local librarian, who both seem to know more than they're willing to admit. The deeper Chris goes, the more he realizes that the disappearances are part of an ancient ritual, and the town's residents may be bound to the pack’s curse. As the full moon approaches, Chris finds himself hunted by the very creatures he’s investigating.
With danger closing in, Chris must confront the darkness within the town—and within himself—before it’s too late. But in Glenville, escape is not so simple. The pack is watching, and no one leaves unscathed.

This novel is not good. The translator is solid and released 80 chapters at once, but I don't have the willpower to finish them all at once. This is something you should read slowly otherwise you'll see too many of it's flaws and start puking. There are many reasons why it sucks, but I'll only go over a few (and it's one "saving grace" if you can call it that.First: The TransmigrationThis was done horribly, we don't know much about where he came from or who he was. He just mentions it a few times that he is a "transcender" with two souls so he is twice as powerful at the same level of another person. Aside from that though, what do we know? What the hell was the purpose of this??? 'Second: The MotherShe doesn't have much reason to exist other than giving our Main Character a reason to get stronger. We know basically nothing about her. She is a literal unfeeling uncaring plot point and it's scary.Third: The EcononomyIt makes no sense. I don't know what else to say. It makes literally 0 sense. I feel like, by the time I get to chapter 80, things are gonna cost well into the trillions for stuff like food. The price scaling is ridiculous and hurts my brain. In the same vein as that though, school is free... but apparently, you learn basically nothing and all that matters is catching them all- I mean being a beastmaster.Fourth: WorldbuildingThere is none. There is literally no worldbuilding aside from this: The world is called mercury and suddenly spacial holes opened up and out came monsters. There is some sort of alliance between nations that share a common currency. Also kids can enter a dangerous wormhole into a different world for some reason.Yeah it's pretty bad, but lets got onto the "saving grace" : The Main CharacterHe appears to be intentionally made flawed and seems like he's going to be given a character arc, in which he'll change and stop being such an ass towards the FL. He isn't great by any means, and the other characters are pretty bland hoping he dies for seemingly no reason but he is the best part of this. Oh and that includes the fights and everything so far. I'm being serious. My rating is only high because of the translator, read this if you like pokemon, super gene or monster paradise. If not then, don't0 0 Reply

It does not have any logic to the rules created by this sect , it is totally bizarre how the author seriously thought that such organization would work in real life0 0 Reply

The climb to the top seemed endless as even still, the weather became harsher. Hail started to fall breaking apart the fragile terrain. Ever so often, the branch Xin Fan hung on would snap forcing him to expend some extra qi for safety.0 0 Reply

"Because it was enabled. And those damage numbers are inflated by their lead. They drafted around their Sharpshooter and they were rewarded. Those damage numbers are the payoff."0 0 Reply
