The book begins with an intriguing premise, but the main character's lack of involvement and apparent apathy make the story feel somewhat unengaging. Her disinterest contributes to a dull atmosphere. The love interest's instant infatuation with her feels overused and unconvincing, which personally doesn't appeal to me.

I concur with the other reviewers that the book is an enjoyable, lighthearted read. It's a bit fluffy with a decent pace, but it's not the type for those seeking intense drama involving dogs or blood. The story primarily revolves around Meng Chu's path to professional success, and while the characters are passable, the content can feel somewhat shallow. The romance feels forced and lacks depth. A spoiler: when the main character asks the real lead why he likes her, he responds with an odd "do I need a reason?" The synopsis is somewhat misleading, as the ex-husband subplot turns out to be unimportant; instead, it's the ex-husband's first love who drives the plot and causes conflict. I would have preferred a stronger focus on the ex-husband's character and his attempts, albeit futile, to reconcile with MC, given his past behavior. The ex-husband and his first love mainly serve as supporting characters to highlight the主角's glamorous lives and their contrasting journeys.

The experience of reading this feels like a continuous fast-paced race, with events unfolding rapidly without any喘息, leaving one disoriented about the passage of time.

However, it's important not to take this novel seriously at all. The protagonist, FL, comes across as a Mary Sue character who lavishly spends money, causing others to assume she's on the verge of financial ruin. Yet, coincidentally, every investment she makes turns out to be a success – it's almost as if she has an impenetrable plot armor.

The male lead, ML, is equally absurd and hard to take seriously. He falls in love with FL instantly and behaves like a submissive husband from the start, altering himself to迎合 her preferences, even if it means lying to her.

Additionally, there were a few inconsistencies that irked me, but I didn't bother going back to verify them.

In summary, if you approach the story with low expectations and switch off your critical thinking, it's a decent read, albeit one with its flaws.

I understand that this book receives numerous unfavorable critiques, but personally, I found it an enjoyable read. It doesn't adhere to the conventional slow-burn romance formula, but it still has its heartwarming moments. While the prose isn't exceptional and lacks profound development, it serves as a lighthearted escape from heavy drama. It's a calming choice, perfect for unwinding, just don't expect a deeply intricate plot.

Hmm, it's a rather generic and shallow storyline that lacks depth. Although it's not terrible, if you've come across many similar stories, this one doesn't stand out much or bring much amusement. The romance aspect is confusing – I just can't grasp why the male lead (ML) is attracted to the protagonist (MC).

The plot unfolds with MC meeting ML through a mutual friend seeking blind dates. MC requests ML to wait until she breaks off her engagement before pursuing a relationship, which ML obliges. After the breakup, MC surprises ML by saying she has no intention of committing anytime soon, wanting to wait 15 years – which seems implausible.

Despite this, ML persistently pursues MC, even without a clear reason. He secretly supports her, then proposes a compromise about delaying marriage but not their relationship. However, MC remains hesitant, and at that point, I lost interest because MC doesn't seem any better than her ex-fiancé's current partner.

The story relies heavily on exploiting the system's limits to provoke and belittle the ex-girlfriend, but when executed poorly, a revenge tale loses its charm. In my opinion, this story doesn't fare well in terms of quality writing.

This tale shines when you're in a relaxed mood, seeking light-hearted entertainment with a Mary Sue protagonist who brings laughter throughout each chapter. The main character's motivation might seem unclear at the moment, but their cuteness factor is undeniable. It's not the ideal choice for those who prefer intricate plots or well-developed, multi-dimensional characters that require mental engagement during reading.
