The logic of the story seems to be tossed aside, and despite potential speculation that it's a parody, the tone is mostly serious when the main character (MC) isn't engaged in slapstick. Even for a light read, the implausible plot twists make it challenging to enjoy. While some may find enjoyment in straightforwardly playing with cliches, the MC's portrayal as a well-rounded, non-power fantasy self-insert is inconsistent, making it unsatisfactory compared to other more enjoyable options.
A spoiler warning: The love story between the MC and the male lead (ML) remains unclear. Despite the MC's physical attributes being highlighted, there's no evidence of her wit or deeper connection, at least up to chapter 101. The ML's love seems to stem solely from her appearance, which feels superficial.
In a shocking turn of events, the system prompts the marriage, and the MC simply asks for the nearest available bachelor, without any romantic pursuit or flirtation. This rushed decision leaves readers shaking their heads (facepalm moment).
Throughout the narrative, the translation quality might have caused some confusion, draining my mental energy. However, if you're in the mood for a lighthearted read and can overlook a predictable plot, illogical storyline, subpar translation, and forced romance, perhaps consider giving it a go as a mindless escape for a few hours.
The protagonist's actions often defy logic, as though she's restricted by some sort of system or mission, but she consistently goes against these constraints, without facing consequences from the supposed plot device. The presence of the system feels entirely contrived and serves no meaningful purpose in the narrative.
The author's approach to the main character's love interest is baffling to me. I don't grasp his motivations for pursuing the FL. In summary, I didn't find the story enjoyable at all. Reaching Chapter 67 was my limit. I'm genuinely impressed by those who managed to finish the novel."
The MC's development is minimal, despite being on chapter 56. The male lead (ML) feels somewhat random - his attraction to her is unclear without a proper backstory. He suddenly likes her from the start, which comes across as a bit of a surprise, akin to a Pikachu meme. The ML's attempts to appear ordinary are comical.
Overall, while the story might be enjoyable for a quick, lighthearted read, it lacks substantial character growth and depth.
In essence, this tale reduces supporting characters to mere punching bags for the protagonist's amusement. It lacks depth, engaging conflict, and well-rounded characters, making it unsuitable for those seeking substance, complex narratives, or satisfying character development. If you're after a story that offers substance, memorable characters, intricate plots, or meaningful character interactions, this might not be the right choice – you might even feel your intelligence questioned while reading.
However, if you're looking for a humorous romp where a Mary Sue-like character triumphs over others through wealth, beauty, and talent, then this might be the entertaining read you seek!
The 'average' guy's character is confusing – he claims to be a programmer but seems to have ulterior motives, like a typical wealthy protagonist pretending to be simple. Despite their brief encounter, his transformation seems forced to meet the MC's specific expectations. The main character, who should be strong, falls for this easily, praising him without much development. The fact that the supporting character isn't supposed to marry until she's older doesn't stop her from announcing a 10-15 year waiting period, despite asking him to wait initially. His reaction to this news is bewildered.
With only around 20 chapters read, I'm still trying to grasp how the MC navigates the original character's family dynamics. The premise was intriguing, but the execution feels rushed and inconsistent. I seriously doubt the "slow romance" label; this novel appears to be anything but slow-paced.
