[The Phantom of the Opera] I love you, I’m just pretending

The original Phantom crosses over into a fan novel called ‘The Beast and the Canary’. After returning to the real world, he gains a strong sense of confidence and desire for love.

 

He believes that if he can be as kind (?), devoted, and steadfast in love as the fanfic Phantom, one day he will also meet a beautiful, kind-hearted heroine like in the story.

 

And he does meet her.

 

She’s a petite, adorable girl with brown hair, large eyes, a round face, and a fondness for pink lipstick. Like the heroine in the fanfic, she isn’t put off by his disfigured appearance or afraid of his cold, ruthless nature.

 

She takes his hand and leads him into an Eden surrounded by the serpents of desire. Then, she vanishes without a trace, taking his money with her.
