As Damon stepped into Rieka's room, his movements as silent as the moonlight filtering through the curtains.

The sledge hammer in his hand gleamed with malevolence, its carbon steel head promising swift and brutal retribution.

His heart racing with fear and determination. He had no choice, he had to take care of her now, before it was too late.

He couldn't shake off the memory of the way she had stood up to him, unafraid, for the first time.

Her eyes bore into him, like a beast that couldn't wait to devour its prey.

It was the same look Randolph had given him before Damon had ended his life, though not without difficulty.

Damon knew the truth now. Rieka had inherited her father's bloodline, the ancient lineage of the werewolves. Yet, she hadn't transformed.

Why? That remained a mystery, one he had no time to unravel. His duty was clear: eliminate her before her latent powers awakened.

As he approached Rieka, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of regret. She was just a mere girl, barely eighteen years old.

When she finally noticed his presence. Rieka gasp echoed in the room, her heart pounding against her ribs.

She tried to rise, but her legs betrayed her, heavy and uncooperative. Panic surged within her, urging her to flee, but Damon stood before her, a sinister smile stretching across his face.

The sledge harmer rose, poised for the fatal strike. Rieka closed her eyes, bracing for the impact, the cold steel against her skin. But it never came.

Instead, she felt a strange force enveloping her, as if the very air had thickened, forming an invisible barrier. Damon grunted, struggling against it, his eyes wide with disbelief.

Rieka opened her eyes and saw Damon struggling against an invisible barrier. Her eyes widened in surprise.

Rieka's realization hit her like a lightning bolt. The mysterious force she had been battling, it was protecting her.

She had no control over it, yet it shielded her from Damon's lethal intent.

Desperation fueled Damon's efforts; he broke through the barrier, lunging toward her.

All the regrets Damon felt early was gone, he was right all along. And he must eliminate her right here and now.

Rieka could see the determination in his eyes as he swung the sledge harmer towards her.

Her eyes widened in fear as she saw the hedgeharmer descend. Pain flared, quick and searing, before darkness consumed her.
