"Let all know that those bearing the Mark of Death are fated to perish – both the righteous and the unrighteous, for I have laid my curse upon them. Those who carry sin shall die. Those born from sin shall die. The sins of humanity have summoned death itself. Let all men die; it is what they deserve." – Brother Horris.
Set in a fictional universe, The Hour of Death tells the story of Vanessa, a beautiful college student navigating the pain of betrayal and distrust caused by those she once considered friends. Eager to forgive them, Vanessa answers their call and meets them at the location they provided. There, she is molested and abused. In her attempt to escape these evil friends, she is thrown off a bridge and dies.
Witnessing his daughter's death, Horris, Vanessa's father, decides to report what he saw to the police. However, the police tell him a different story – that Vanessa had accidentally fallen off the bridge while hanging out with her friends. Horris pleads with Vanessa's evil friends to confess their sins and accept their punishment, but they refuse and call him insane.
Realizing that the parents of these sinners had bribed the police and that there was nothing he could do, Horris makes an unthinkable decision. Using a book called Doombringer, he curses the entire world, filling it with evil and darkness from an unknown realm. Vanessa was the only purpose of his existence, and now that she no longer existed, he had no reason to live anymore.
As several weeks passed, people began to die mysteriously. Some disappeared, while others went insane. Strange events surfaced as the number of daily deaths continued to rise. No one really knew what was happening, but those who knew about the curse understood that the world had been set on a fixed path leading to destruction and doom!
