The characters' lack of intelligence struck me as another major flaw. It felt as though most were one-dimensional, with only a select few supporting the MC. The FL, in particular, was reduced to a mere pretty face; she never actively contributed, only causing problems for those assisting her. Her behavior appeared hypocritical, as she seemed to harbor jealousy towards the MC and constantly tried to take credit for the protagonist's actions, giving off a manipulative vibe.
Lastly, the MC's inconsistency bothered me. Despite wanting to project an indifferent demeanor, she didn't actively deter unwanted advances. My interest in the story mainly lies in its world-building and the laid-back cultivation narrative, particularly the vivid depiction of Beyond the Boundary and the Amazon-like setting.
While the pacing generally worked well, conflicts scenes either felt too slow or rushed, which detracted from the overall experience.
1. The protagonist, FL, is a smart introvert with a deep passion for medicine, making her a refreshing change from stereotypical female characters.
2. FL isn't fazed by good-looking men; her romantic inclinations are mainly towards her master, adding depth to her character development.
3. The male lead, ML, is a nearly perfect character, but with an intriguing twist - he's not human and shares FL's introverted nature, making their relationship more compelling.
4. The original FL's character arc starts off as a typical misunderstood villain but evolves into a more innocent and genuine character, thanks to her 'heaven charm cheat.'
5. Side characters are diverse, ranging from two-dimensional to three-dimensional, with many lovable and endearing figures, particularly among FL's companions.
6. Some criticize the male characters' attraction to FL, but it's explained by their remembering their past lives and appreciating FL's selflessness, rather than pure romantic interest.
7. The translation by aerialrain is exceptional, though not part of my assessment of the novel itself.
However, there are a few negatives:
1. The chance encounter between FL and the god-like ML as her master may seem unrealistic, but it can be seen as a redeeming factor from her previous life.
2. The constant attention from male followers can be off-putting, especially for those不喜欢 harem or reverse harem themes.
3. While the story includes cliches, it also offers unique elements and keeps some aspects mysterious, like the main antagonist.
4. FL's character might be perceived as a Mary Sue by some readers, but others appreciate her growth and the balance of her luck after her rebirth.
In summary, this novel provides a heartwarming tale with relatable characters and an engaging plot. It's definitely worth giving a try, despite its minor flaws.
1. The Original Female (FL) character seemed to have a haughty demeanor, reminiscent of a green tea *b*tch, but the author tried to present her in a way that didn't align with her portrayal in the story, which felt off.
2. The concept of the male leads regaining their memories from their previous lives was hard to swallow, and their sudden clinginess towards the main character felt contrived and unrealistic.
In summary, the premise had potential, but the execution fell short. A more assertive main character and eliminating the unnecessary reverse harem would likely result in a more compelling narrative.
