It gets better the further in to the novel you get. I'm at 172 currently, and it is fine now, but I tried reading one in the 900s, and it is above the average for writing then. But in the beginning it is really bad yes.
If you can handle author/translator's problems with past, present and future tense then overall omitting the former the book is a solid 7/10, mc evolves every 10 levels starting at lvl 10, power system is a bit unique but still western magic/knight style with monster race traits. No R18 scenes so far even though mc's a goblin. The world building is deep for the main world but not so much for the sub worlds. Theres some yandere girls, but their relationship hasn't been talked about in these first 400 chapters. Power level goes from F-S-SSS-Hero-God-(currently unstated levels of godhood). Mc is always slightly OP for his level yet is always fighting mobs above his level. Overall the story is fast pace and it feels like time is always running out and you're always waiting for the other shoe to drop. You can tell author has vaguely planned out the first 400-600 chapters based on the first 300-400 chapters and it isn't an unplanned self insert.
Really well written. Not too fast and not too slow. Looking for ward to this story getting to its first hundred chapters . Please keep posting regularly !!!!
I've read this despite all the bad reviews of this novel. And I've got to say that this is an interesting story.
The volume 1 is too bland. There's no character development and world building. He's the only character in the whole volume. The others are just extras that he killed. I think that most people got bored and didn't pass through volume 1.
I think you can skip volume 1 and start with chapter 20. It will not affect your reading.
The volume 2 is the start where a lot of characters appear and the world is slowly forming. The world is too large and we currently couldn't explore it because he's staying in one city.
We're currently in chapter 88 and I've got to say that there's a lot of things that will happen in this story considering what explained in the last arc. 88 chapters weren't enough to decide this story like those other novels. Maybe, this wasn't even ten percent of the novel.
The only downside of this story was the poor grammar.
