I read until chap 23 with high expectations considering that one of my first novels was Reaper of the Martial World, that sadly I dropped at around 400 chaps for overly complicating things. I was like, the author must have accumulated his fair share of experience all this considered. While this novel is good, the MC's character and drive or better said lack of make it hard to read. many would say character development, I would say the author over complicating things, you either man up or die, oh he is alive because of his really good ability aka Plot Armor not because he is tough. If you ask me for this kind of world an anti-hero is the best, him? Well he has 0 plans just going along following the female lead that, incredibly is more manly than he is, like a dog in love. Idk why I hoped for something worth reading, I mean the more you hope the bigger the dissapointment.
Like all stories of this type, there are major flaws. The problem I see is the constant reality bending nature of the system that is created. If a system has to bend reality constantly then there is going to be millions of little changes occurring each time it does something. Personally I think it is better for the system just to be creating items out of nothing than go the whole reality change route. These novels can be fun for a few chapters, but those of us who like to think more deeply about things will be looking at this type of story as if there are a bunch of problems that just get more irritating as things go on.
A hidden gem of a novel with a lot of potential. The thing which made me give low rating is the really slow pacing of the novel. 60 chapters in and it's still nothing interesting. The MC used his powers like a maximum of 5 times. There are no concrete FL's except for the senior disciple and his sister? The writing quality and the updates are good, the pacing of the story is bad. You can skip a lot of chapter like the tournament arc and all which make no sense for being there except for some character introductions. I'm not gonna read 10-20 chapters for 2 characters to get introduced...
This novel is like gold shit...why? The author talk nonstop about world building but without realize anything, you already ch 20....holy shit holy shit holy shit
