Sovereign of the Forgotten Era

Ten years passed like that, during them Mesa killed tens of people while he got close to death hundreds of times. However, his strength grew to a horrifying degree. He was so strong that he could take on all the elites in the organization with no real effort. The old men were proud of their creation. They turned a talented child to the greatest killing machine the world has ever scene.

The short story will continue to be the staple of the one-semester literature course, and rightfully so, but for those instructors who would like to add a longer piece or two without committing to a full-scale novel, the in-between stories I've suggested are worth consideration. Of course, my list is far from exhaustive and there are many more fine works whose lengths fall in that gray area betwixt story and novella. Teachers have to beware of publishing tricks and traditional perceptions. They have to look between the covers of the book to decide if it is a length their students can manage. They very well may discover what Forster described as a "beautifully shaped" work whose "final effect is pre-arranged. . .and is completely successful when it comes" (153). A gift well worth sharing with students of literature.

Now the final stop, my home. I was so overrun with relief that I almost sobbed. I was tired, sticky from the dried blood, and just wanted to be anti social for a day or two. Right as I entered, I went straight for the shower and didn't come out for an hour. That was literally just to take off the blood from my body and to refresh my self, that's how long it took. I am never doing that again. . .I'm probably going to be covered in blood within the month, but let me live my moment.

WRITING STYLE: The author’s writing style is impeccable and quite good. The story is well written, can be easily understood, and is not as confusing as the story goes. Although there may be negligible errors that I have seen, they haven't in any way distracted my attention and immersion in reading.  STABILITY OF UPDATES: With the author's current update schedule (4 chapters per week), if the update rate goes up more, I'm sure its readers' anticipation will level up, too. As of now, I think the story is getting better after every chapter. I am just 11 chapters away from the latest chapter which I plan to go through. STORY DEVELOPMENT: The story's pacing, for me, has just the right momentum---not too fast or too slow. The author has taken great consideration in building up this story that it gets more engrossing to read and makes you look forward to the momentous progress of our main character in the story. CHARACTER DESIGN: We have an astute and strong-willed main character here in this story whose progress gets better and more promising in every chapter. Even the side characters being gradually introduced into the fray have their own distinctive roles. WORLD BACKGROUND: The world setting is so descriptively rendered based on the main character's interactions within the game world and with the other game characters, where their respective actions are taking place. This is the second book that I have read in this genre which I am enjoying so far; so keep it up, author. You are absolutely doing a great job.
