    Story:
It's a tale centered on loneliness, immortality, and love. Everyone yearns for immortality, but what does it truly cost? If you're an immortal, those you cherish will eventually leave, leaving you alone. Isn't it better, then, to remain mortal? The protagonist is Cai Sheng, a solitary immortal being who doesn’t fit into any category—neither fairy nor demon, neither man nor woman. She exists as something unique, without a place in any world. Fairies govern this realm with strict, sometimes cruel laws, claiming they maintain peace. But are these rules worth it if they keep you from the one you love? Can Cai Sheng endure in such a world?

    Art:
The art was decent—not exceptional, but certainly not poor.

    Character:
Each character was distinct, each possessing their own unique personality. Cai Sheng stands out as the main character—an immortal outsider who doesn’t belong anywhere. Her existence threatens the fairies' order, leading them to want her dead. All Cai Sheng desires is a peaceful life with those she loves, yet the fairies’ rules prevent that. She has lost so many dear to her: her fox sisters, her mentor Shifu, and Huiniang. How can she continue loving those who have caused her such pain? Yet, she finds humanity in people like Su Ping and Yun Shi, allowing her to forgive. Cai Sheng embodies loneliness and deep thoughtfulness.

Yun Shi is a student of a Taoist priest, but unlike his teacher, he refuses to blindly judge non-humans. Despite Cai Sheng killing his mentor, whom he saw as a father figure, Yun Shi understands her motives—revenge for her sister, who was like a mother to her. This empathy leads him to forgive her and recognize that not all demons are evil. He resolves to rise above his teacher’s prejudices.

Su Ping is a kind-hearted girl who encounters Yuniang, a lonely demon seeking friendship. Even after being turned back into a human, Su Ping empathizes with Yuniang’s longing for companionship and chooses to stay by her side.

Other memorable characters include Wei Tzequi, cold and serious; Lady Peony, enigmatic and wise; Huiniang, warm and loving; Shifu, a guiding presence; Bo Leng, a ruthless demon hunter; Yuniang, a lonesome demon; and Gu Miao, devoted and loyal.

    Enjoyment:
I thoroughly enjoyed the manga. Re-reading chapters repeatedly remained engaging.

    Overall:
This manga was extraordinary. It defies convention, challenging readers to think deeply about its themes. Its complexity makes full comprehension difficult, but that only adds to its charm. I adored this heartfelt story.
