Shadows of Temptations

I went into this not expecting much and walked away incredibly surprised. In just 60 chapters, I've been hooked on this story more than any other novel in recent times.The main character doesn't seem like a main character at all. Ordinary man doing an ordinary job. But everyone else sees something completely different from him and that is what turns him into the main character. He's a very relatable character too I think because he sees himself as ordinary.There are a few side characters that are main characters in their own stories as well and I love the dual perspective we see when they interact with the main character. We see the perspective of the ordinary man, who sees a repressed young girl who wants to break out of her shell and cosplay, and then we see the perspective of the young woman from a post-apocalyptic Earth who sees the 'Secrets of Cosplay' as a holy bible to demon hunting to save humanity. I love the way it was done.Overall this novel easily earns a 5/5 from me and I hope that it's picked up and that others enjoy it as much as I did.

I like the concept and adore VRMMORPGs. I can see the potential and would love to see the MC being smart and having smart schemes. All in all there is good potential so you should have a read and see for yourself!

HIDDEN GEM!STORY BUILDING -So far the story setting are great.It  is going slow but okay since as the author mentions that it's going to be a long one(if he doesn't drop it and please don't it's harder to find good story with an overused plot).CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT- Going good so far the MC has a sarcastic personality and laid back attitude, that's what I got from him since he basically just a child nowWRITING QUALITY- Excellent writing quality with simple yet descriptive sentences.The novel has a lot of humour with a lot of unexpected references that can make you crack up.WORLD BUILDING - Going fine since the mc is still a baby and is reincarnated after 3000 years.And author has done a good work in making it as real as it could  be done in a fantasy novel😝FINAL JUDEMENT : A unique writing style that keep u hooked on with a unique plot setting ......u get what I mean right.If the author doesn't drop it midway then it's going to be an amazing novel.okay goodbye🙃

The book was really well written! The mc having no morals also works really well with his background!I also love the sheer brutality in this book!I hope to see where this story goes!

This story is great and for sure deserves to be and eventually will be higher on the ranking (assuming consistent updates). The main reason for this is because until now this story has been written as a web novel and not a regular novel like many of the others have been.        This can be seen from the superb world building which while not particularly in-depth (yet) has laid a wonderful foundation for easy expansion either deeper into the dungeon or up onto the surface and has already shown factions and conflict in the human society allowing for hundreds or perhaps thousands of future chapters. This is usually lacking from other stories in the rankings as even those with a pre-established lore need new areas or factions occasionally and without a foundation it always feels like an ass-pull and will eventually limit their longevity.    The system the mc has, while cliched, also lends itself to the web novel format as it allows the author to show numerically and or cleanly through a menu that the characters are progressing in each chapter meaning daily updates always feel meaningful and not like fluff.    Finally the most impressive thing about this story is the speed at which the character grows, that is to say slowly. Other stories on the rankings almost always show their mc's rocket up in strength to quickly become influential in their world. However I find that this is often short sighted as it hampers world building and longevity as possible enemies quickly become scarce and we never see the prospective of the world as a little guy. This story does not have that problem as the mc is not the strongest and does not seem to be likely to become the strongest any time soon allowing for plenty of interesting hurdles to over come for a long time.   Honestly the only real gripe i have is the ridiculous main character who seems to be both comically unperturbed by his situation (literally) as well as far too eager to enter an unknown ant society. This could be easily remedied however if the author either bluntly stated that being an ant has somehow warped his perception of reality or showed that his sanity was rightfully cracking around the edges but that his silly sense of humor was keeping him together, explaining his constant need for jokes.**. ALL PRAISE THE MIGHTY GANDALF!!!!! MAY HIS BEARD BE EVER BUSHY AND WHITE

Really loving everything so far, and am excited to see where the story goes. PS- (Who doesn’t love a cute succubus stuck with a MC from day one… better yet a shy tsundere succubus?)
