This manga starts off with the classic tale of childhood friends who eventually become lovers as they hit puberty. However, that's where its resemblance to a typical yaoi ends. Throw in a homophobic father, an eccentric all-boys school where your roommate is determined to "train" you on becoming a seme, and two main characters striving to reunite, and you've got yourself a fantastic read.
Artwork
Let's face it—sometimes you grow tired of seeing men drawn with overly feminine traits. This manga refreshingly portrays men as men, who would have thought? It’s a delightful change for avid yaoi readers. I truly savored the eye candy featuring muscular and well-defined bodies.
Overall
The manga leans into drama and exaggeration, but it fits perfectly within the yaoi genre. Reading it genuinely brightened my day. In my opinion, the highlight was the relationship between the father and the principal—it even made me chuckle a little.
